Feasibility of Tinc vpn with my current setup.
Hi all, I am new to Tinc VPN and really would like to make full benefit of this implementation if possible. I would like to know whether I will be able to use Tinc to its full potential. My current setup is as follows, IPfire router/firewall(openvpn client) --->ISP(Internet)--->Amazon VPS(openvpn server). The ipfire router is behind a CARRIER-GRADE NAT, I am able to reach the network behind the IPfire router (which acts as an openvpn client and publish its internal network over the openvpn) through openvpn from...

NUT & UPS, how to shut down client after 2 min on battery?
...me systems I have take some time to shut down, so I would like them to shut down if the UPS have been on battery for 2 minutes. Internet has told me that SHUTDOWNCMD ?/sbin/shutdown -h +0? in /etc/nut/upsmon.conf will execute when the UPS is both OB (on battery) and LB (Low battery). Like in wiki.ipfire.org - Detailed NUT Configuration<https://wiki.ipfire.org/addons/nut/detailed> where it says ?SHUTDOWNCMD ?/sbin/shutdown -h +0? this command will be triggered if UPS sends the BL (Battery Low) flag.? But I would like to be on the safest side, and not hope ?low battery? is enough time to shu...

linux client join DC how?
I did a fresh install of Debian with the desktop. I know from Ubuntu that the network is handled differently in the desktop and the server versions. So, I am assuming it is a similar situation with Debian. I could be wrong but . . . When kerberos installs via the script it (the script) suggests accepting the 'defaults on the next three screens.' The first screen included the correct

linux client join DC how?
My shop is 10 minutes from my house. House and shop are connected by vpn (between two IpFire firewalls.) I do a lot of configuring and testing from home. Due to a Windows wake-on-lan issue (right now) I cannot wake the lone DC W7 client from home. When I get to work this morning, W7 client (thru ADUC) shows 'dtclient01' is connected to DC. Further testing (wbinfo, testjoin, etc.) s...

Strange network problem
Hi, I am using the following setup: Dom0: Gentoo 64 Bit with a 2.6.33.2 Pv ops kernel cpu: amd athlon II 605e bridged network. As domu I want to use ipfire which has a pv xen kernel based on the opensuse xen patches (like andy lyon does). If I use an old dom0 xen kernel with xen 3.4.x everything is working. But if I use a new dom0 kernel (different xen versions doesn''t change anything) networking is not really working. From domu and dom0 p...
