Speex on iPAQ?
Hi
If there is anyone who have tried to use the Speex codec on the iPAQ I would be
VERY happy to get in contact with that person. I'm trying to use the eMbedded
Visual C++ 3.0 to get the Speex to work on my iPAQ but can't get it to work.
Once again would be very happy if there is anyone who have an example code for
the iPAQ or have tried to use Speex .

Can WINE help me using Dell Axim from Puppy Linux 511?
Since I'm new to this forum I probably I'm doing something wrong, I'm sorry if this's the case!
I don't have a windows base system, solely Puppy Linux. I do have an Axim, though; can't do hardly anything useful with it since starting using just Linux. Went through many pages about WINE but failed to locate any useful info. That's the reason for posting my issue here.

Hi,
I encoded file in a ipaq 1940, pocket pc 2003, processor Samsung

quality output if this is right to entered parameters.

Re: [Asterisk-Dev] Softphone for PocketPC or iPaq
I have tried sjphone - worked well, although I think my 3 year old IPAQ
had a bit of a hard time keeping up with the pace as there was quite a
delay in the speech. Probably says more about my ancient IPAQ than
SJPhone.

H323 Softphone for iPAQ
Hi list,
I was just wondering, is there any H.323 soft-phone that can be installed on
a pocket PC (iPAQ).

Is there a way of getting R up and running on an IPAQ 3870?
Hi,
I was wondering (as a trawl has not turned up anything) whether anyone
has any ideas regarding this matter? Does a version exist? Has anyone
been able to compile such a version? Any pointers would be most welcome,
as the ability to put an IPAQ to really productive use would be great.
Alternatively does anyone know of any other similar software to carry
out EDA and small scale post hoc analyses on these devices (free or
reasonably priced - I'm a poorly paid Civil Servant who's just shelled
out hard earned cash on this thing)?
TIA...

Asterisk Demo
Hi,
I need to setup a demo for asterisk and need some help here please. The demo
is connecting to Asterisk a Cisco 7970 SIP (ver. &.0) and a SIP client on HP
iPAQ via a wireless hotspot. I need to configure both with the same
extension with a shared line like in Cisco CallManager. This way if the
extension is called both iPAQ and the IP phone ring and the user gets to
pick up using either.
Your input is highly appreciated.
Thanks

Ogg Vorbis fixed-point math anyone ?
A few months ago, there was some discussion about adding fixed-point
support for iPAQ's StrongARM to Ogg Vorbis (whether and how it's
possible, that is). Has anybody tried this yet ?

tc on familiar ipaq
Hello,
I want to run bandwidth management on my ipaq (H3970) running
familiar 0.8. It''s built on top of linux 2.4.19 kernel. There is
iptables but no traffice control (tc) tools. I''m thinking to cross
compile my own tc. Does anyone know where to get tc source file? or
Does anyone have tried this before?
Any help would be appreciate...

bluetooth nap and internet access problem
Hello,
I''m trying to configure my desktop as a bluetooth network access point for my
ipaq (as explained in http://www.stolk.org/debian/bluetooth.html).
I''m running shorewall version 2.2.1 on debian testing with a local network via
eth0 and internet access via eth1. I''ve created a bridge br0 for eth0 and
bnep0 and activated bridging in shorewall. dhcpd is listening o...

fixed point math
While vorbis works fine sending through the net PCM samples
from a Plan 9 machine (a 686) to a compaq Ipaq, it would be
great if it could work within the ipaq. I think that would
require fixed point math instead of using the FPU all the times.
the mp3 mad player seems to do just that.
Any plans to go along the same lines and provide a fixed point
decoder?

I have compiled R-1.2.2 for arm-linux (iPAQ) on the skiffcluster, an ARM
compile farm accessible at
http://www.handhelds.org/projects/skiffcluster.html
and R-1.2.3 using cross compilation tools on x86 linux (cross compilers
are also available at www.handhelds.org).
Compilation went smoothly...

Port speex to my iPAQ 1945
Hi
I want to port speex to my pocket PC iPAQ1945 which has a Samsung
processor 2410, an ARM9-based processor. I would like to write the
specific optimized code for this chip. I had some experience at DSP
chip and fixed-point coding but know nothing about embedded system and
ARM. Could someone tell me some hint how to write optimized code for...

SIP on Handhelds
Does anyone know if SIP will/is support on handheld PCs such as the iPaq
or Axiom? With their integrated 802.11b and Bluetooth it seems like a
solution to provide a wireless based sip phone for any user would be
possible. Handoff between access points might be problematic but most
users I know would be using their PDA phone in an airport with free
wireless or at the l...

PDA as source client
...than a PC as a source for icecast2? Are
PDAs powerfull enough? I know vorbis encoding takes a signifigant amount
of CPU power, but I've been able to do it on 4 year old PCs. Does a
206MHz Intel StrongARM 32-bit RISC processor have as much power as a 200
Mhz Pentium?
I'm thinking Compaq iPaq, running Familiar Linux and IceS, would make a
nice portable $220 source.
Any thoughts?

Speex on Nokia 6600
Thanks very much.
You mean both encode and decode simulateusly (duplex)?
Could you test the Java version (jspeex) on that iPaq too? (I do not have
anything other than very fast PC, so I cant do this...)
And, in phone, the mic can record not only the users speech but also voice
from the other side (from speaker)... Does this make compression harder or
the result worse? How can this impact bitrate? Can Speex eliminate th...
