rejected our name registration of WORKGROUP<1d> with error code 6
...as a
PDC logon server with wins support and w98 clients, I followed the
howto:

The clients added to the domain execute the logon scripts fine, but they
do not see the samba server in nethood, though they can access it in
nethood with \\ip_samba_server or \\netbios_name_samba_server, all the
clients w98 see each others.
I have this in log.nmbd

The following is the information:---------------------------
The two fist steps of 'DIAGNOSIS.txt' are good but not the third:
# bin/smbclient -L "my_samba_server"
Added interface ip="ip_samba_server" bcast=147.156.255.255
nmask=255.255.0.0 session request to "my_samba_server" failed
session request to *SMBSERVER failed
'# bin/testparm' gives no error.
I don't understand why I have a lot of smbd's proceses:
# ps aux|grep mb
root 0.0 0.1 4.52M 424K...

Problems with a PDC

I'm using Samba 2.2.7a and it works fine so if I type:
net use j: \\ip_samba_server\home
It ask me for the user/password to establish de
"connection" (it demands the password because I can't validate the user at
login time).
Well... That's all.
