Yum Weird Message
I ran into this exact issue last night - http://www.iotti.biz/?p=433 When a computer is connected via IPv4 but the IPv4 a repo host connects to is not available, yum then tries the IPv6 address and will fail with a confusing message telling you it failed to connect to the IPv6 address. I don't know if there is a way for yum to figure out whether t...

Hard disk image to use with Memdisk
...emulate an 8Mb disk in memory or on a file, but I am able to do so only for a 'single partition'. Could you please suggest me a way to obtain the image? I can use Linux or Windows tools, it does not matter. Obviously I do not own a 8Mb Hard Disk, or it would be simple... Thank you. Luigi Iotti

Feature request: script generation
I did not subscribe to the list. I''ve been using shorewall for some time and I appreciate it very much. I think it would be useful to have an option to generate a script of the commands Shorewall is about to issue, instead of issuing the commands directly. This script could then be used for revision, modification, and could also be used on another system. I thought about modifying

shorewall add fails with IPSET=
Hi all I have a CentOS6 box with shorewall-4.5.21. If I have IPSET= in shorewall.conf and I issue the command "shorewall add ppp:192.168.33.3 ptp", I get the error: /usr/share/shorewall/lib.cli: line 585: [: too many arguments ERROR: Zone ptp, interface ppp does not have a dynamic host list The error is corrected setting the actual path to ipset in shorewall.conf, or via the patch:

Override config in deliver command line
Hi all In dovecot deliver LDA, is there a way to override some configuration settings for particular users? Tha full story is: I have a simple postfix/dovecot setup. No virtual users, delivery is done in /home/mail/%u. For a specific user, I would like to deliver to a maildir. Since mail_location is not explicitly configured, I simply created ~/Maildir for that user, relying on the default

MultiISP.html documentation improvements
Hi all I have been working with Shorewall connected to two ISPs lately, and I would like to suggest a couple of improvements to the MultiISP.html documentation page. I followed the examples in that page (but the legacy setup and the USE_DEFAULT_RT one), but I had problems with locally (by the firewall) generated packets: I wanted them to go out using only one ISP, but if I use a tcrules rule to
