Why is virt-resize designed to involve two disks?
HI,
As you've known, vhd-util and qemu-img both provide the capacity for
resizing the original disk, but why is virt-resize designed to involve
two disks, not only original disk? Is there any concern? Is it
possible that only one original disk is involved in virt-resize?

Subject: Scalar Evolution Expressions Involving Sibling Loops
Hi Philip,
I hope you are doing well.
We've recently run into an issue with SCEV in the context of dependence
analysis, and would like your opinion on it. Background discussion can be
found here https://reviews.llvm.org/D75628#inline-689527.
Basically in this case, the depend...

Selection with changing number of columns
Dear list,
I'm looking for a way to select rows of a data.frame with changing number of columns (constraint) involved.
Assume a data (d) structure like
Var.1 Var.2 Var.3
9 2 1
2 9 5
1 2 1
I know the number of involved columns.
Is there a way to generate the following selection automatically (maybe for loop), so that it makes no difference if there are two or ten columns involved.

Hi Bardia,
I am encountering a similar problem and totally agree that getAddExpr
shouldn’t generate any assertion error or at least provide condition check.
Even if this is something to avoid, would it be better to return nullptr
instead of assertion error?
Thanks,
Jimmy

Getting Involved and Rails 3 Observations
Hello -
I would like to get involved in the Rails Core development. What''s the
process for getting involved?
We''ve been working with Rails since 2006 and really enjoy the framework but
have some reservations around Rails 3''s REST implementation and exposed
Java Script. The former seems to be an over reach for a framework and is an
application specific architectural

Why is dovecot involved in my smtp process
I've been trying to get smtp auth set up for days. All my sendmail and
sasl2 stuff seems to be proper, but the user can't use the system on
port 587, which is where I require authorization.
Now I see where messages are in my maillog of the type:
auth: pam_unix(dovecot:auth) : authentication failure ........
Why is dovecot involved in my smtp processes and how do I fix this. I've

Hi Bardia,
This is actually a long known problem:
http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-bugs/2017-July/056757.html
As shown above, the problem gets triggered easily with scev-aa since it
will compare two SCEVs from anywhere in the code, including your case of
course. I believe the...

solving system of equations involving non-linearities
Hi,
I would appreciate if someone could help me on track with this problem.
I want to compute some parameters from a system of equations given a number of sample observations. The system looks like this:
sum_i( A+b_i>0 & A+b_i>C+d_i) = x
sum_i( C+d_i>0 & C+d_i>A+b_i) = y
sum_i( exp(E+f_i) * ( A+b_i>0 & A+b_i>C+d_i) = z
A, C, E are free variables while the other

XP/Vista/Office 2007/IE Compatibility question
Good morning. My client currently has Windows 2000 and Office 2000.
They are planning to upgrade to Windows XP/Vista/Office 2007. Some
computers have R installed. I don't have a version number. I'm
working off of a spreadsheet. Please respond to the following
questions at your earliest convenience:
1) What versions, if any, of R are compatible with XP? If no

incomplete results from as.character.srcref() in some cases involving quote()
Hi,
The result of as,character() on 'srcref' objects doesn't have the closing ')' in some cases involving 'quote':
> e4 <- quote({2+2})
> class(attr(e4, "wholeSrcref"))
[1] "srcref"
> as.character(attr(e4, "wholeSrcref"))
[1] "e4 <- quote({2+2}"
As a result printing the object also lacks it and gives an incomplete expression:

class methods from module where active rec is involved
I have a module as shown below and when I extend an active record to
use it, I can not access the
primary_key method. In a simple test program using a similar approach
where active record is not involved, access to the class methods seems
to work ok. What can I do to make this work or so that I can access
the class methods ?

How much is involved in porting a new OS to Xen full virtualizaiton?
I''m looking at SCO OpenServer 5.0.6, for various reasons. I contacted
Citrix, and they weren''t interested in pursuing it as a new
virtualization platform, so I''m stuck with VMware. But I''m finding
VMware to be less snappy than I remember Xen being for other operating
systems (and I''ve tried RHEL on both systems), and to have less graceful

How Can I Get involved in Speex Fixed-Point Development?
Hi,
My name is Jean Quirion and I am a DSP engineer. Currently I am
working on a project where it is desired to implement a VoIP solution
over a GSM GPRS link. I would like to use Speex as the vocoder for
this application. This application would require the Speex
encoder/decoder and possibly the pre-processor to run on a low power
fixed-point DSP such as a TI C55x.
Thus, I am interested in

How Can I Get involved in Speex Fixed-PointDevelopment?
There is a port for the TI C55X, in the TI directory of the source tree. This builds and runs directly on the TI C55x simulator (Code Composer). I have run this on the Spectrum Digital C5509A EVMPLUS board, by modifying some of the sample audio drivers (I could provide some details if you chose that board). You can certainly get started in the simulator.
The Speex port does not include any
