Zaptel update trouble
Hi all, When I try to update zaptel to 1.4.3 or 1.4.4 it seems to hang the server at "loading zap hardware modules". I can install 1.4.2.1 and it will load OK at startup although I have to run ..<zaptel-source>/xpp/utils/genzaptelconf -u before rebooting the server or I run into trouble on shutdown. I tried removing all zaptel related entries from modprobe.conf and reinstalling

adding sequences to postgresql DBMS via migration generator
Can somebody provide me with a code example of how to tell a migration to add a sequence other than the default? I have been floundering around with the books and online resources but cannot find a clear example. I anticipate that some sort of option hash is invloved but I cannot determin the correct syntax. I imagine that it would go something like this: ... t.column :my_sequence_name :sequence => ''my_sequence_name'' ???? ... Is this supposed to work? What other options are there if it does? Many thanks. Jim -- Posted via h...

GSoC aspirant - guruprasad hegde
Hi, I plan to propose 'Math Aware search' project. After the literature review on the topic, I found Tangent or MIaS system would be a good start. With that, I studied both of the systems well. I plan to pick Tangent because it performs better. Also, it has a good literature(thesis report and few papers available) and reference code available. I keep the summary of both the system, I

Cross-subnet browsing with multiple domains/workgroups
Hi, I'm trying to set up browsing across subnets to provide an 'enterprise'-wide (sorry for the MS term ;-) browse list / Network Neighbourhood. I've read BROWSING.TXT, but I can't see how machines on different subnets in different domains/workgroups sync up (using Samba, anyway). On my local subnet, I've set up a clunky old Linux 386 (Samba 1.9.18p8) as the browse

Wine-20010305 - MS Word97 - FlashWindow loop
Hi, Microsoft word 97 seems to get stuck in a FlashWindow loop. Briefly, the word splash screen and main window come up fine. When I click on the File menu and then on the Open choice, wine seems to get stuck in a loop in which the window title bar flashes active and inactive. A preamble and a couple of loop iterations follow in the trace below. Looping behavior does not occur when I try the

Issue with pxe chainloading and grub2
Hello everyone, I am trying to chainload grub2 using both pxechain.com and pxechn.c32 and in both cases once grub2 loads it fails to find the grub config file on the server. My setup is as follows: 1. DHCP (192.168.1.2) server points to a multi pxe server menu on itself. The entry in the dhcp config file is: *class "installerator-pxeclients" { match if substring (option

accessing outlook pst files w/ samba
Hi, I'm in the process of trying to convince my organization to move from an exchange server, to a samba solution, while retaining their original windows environments, including Outlook clients. I thought I had all my issues covered, and suddenly I'm facing a show stopper. it turns out that a lot of my users "documentation" has been stored on "public folders" on the

Problems w/Asterisk Realtime + MySQL + SIP
Hi all, Asterisk is great but I'm having issues with setting up realtime for our call center, which is needed for login integration with the rest of our applications (telephonists' web interface, etc.). I have reviewed a large number of previous posts to the mailing list and the voip-info wiki to no avail. Setup is as follows: Linux 2.6.23 (gentoo) / AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ /

some notes about rails, apache, fastcgi and windows
hello. i''d like to share some feelings of mine after a couple of *weeks* intermittent attempts to have rails applications working on windows (XP) with fastcgi performances under apache (2.0). i''d say the software stack i''m using now will be fairly common as more and more new rails developers will join the bandwagon. what is stunning me is the fact that, even if

Hi, I am new to virtualization and I am having the obvious hassle of choosing between Xen and KVM. Can Xen experts help me with this? Regards, Arindam _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xen.org http://lists.xen.org/xen-users
