Configuring idmap for a Samba 3.2.4 AD member server
...up-to-date? http://us6.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/idmapper.html#id2597583 None of it mentions using "idmap config". I may be mistaken, but I don't see anything in the HOWTO about using "idmap config": http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=inurl:Samba-HOWTO-Collection+"idmap+config" Where should I look for definitive, up-to-date instructions for configuring this with Samba 3.2.4? Thanks in advance. -David -- David Eisner http://cradle.brokenglass.com

Can the mailing list archive be searched?
It says the list has been "picked up" by google, but I can''t find any reference to "lartc". A search on "traffic control" and "advanced routing" returned these groups; comp.os.linux.networking fr.comp.os.linux.configuration hun.lists.mlf.linux comp.os.linux.security _______________________________________________ LARTC mailing list /

Samba on Debian with shares on nfs-filesystem
Hello, Actually I have some troubels concerning samba (3.0.24) on debian (4.0): I would like to have some samba-shares on a nfs-filesystem. NFS works fine for the Linux clients and the Linux server. The nfs filesystem is mounted from an other server on /home. The next step is to set up samba to have some shares on the nfs Filesystem (/home/$LOGIN, anonymized configuration attached).
