Windows 2k Home directories junk
Has anyone had the home directories of some Windows 2000 users become
inundated with thousands (15k or so) of directories all of a sudden? This is
of course a samba share on the samba PDC. It really renders the H:\ pretty
useless. It also seems to occur only if you are logged onto a certain
machine. Is anyone aware of any causes? Certain software packages that maybe
create od...

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] combined arm patch
I had to revert these changes. When I did a clean build I was
inundated with errors. I'm not sure if I made the cut off time for
the mirror.

Is there a Samba4 list that I can use?
In order to get going with Samba4 I subscribed to this list. However,
I'm getting inundated with postings that are, for the most part
completely, irrelevant to my needs. I know they are all the same
software, but Samba4 is almost a complete rewrite with completely
different goals. Its very tough to filter through 99.9% of the
messages just in hopes of finding one that applies t...

New files and directories
...e created within this
share should have the ownership be the following <username>:emergpo.
Unfortunately, that is not happening, what is happening is that both the
user and the group ownership bit are set to the creator of the file.
Which is HIGHLY annoying since my phone is often inundated with calls
asking why they can't access a file located on said drive.
I do know that if I were to set the permissions of all files to be 0777
then everyone with access to that drive will be able to do whatever they
need to those files. Unfortunately, that is not what I wish to see i...

repeat_every doesn''t tie in with first_run...
Ezra,
Sorry for inundating the list. In using the autostart, repeat_every,
and first_run, I noticed a behaviour I didn''t expect.
I would like the job to run starting at 2am, and then every 24 hours.
So I set first_run to Time.now.beginning_of_day + 2.hours, and
repeat_every to 24.hours.
The problem is if backgroundrb starts up at 6am (due to a code change
or server bump), then the

Render - Missing Template
...ong.
If I use
render :template => "budgets/new.html.erb"
That kind of works, but I get a strange URL of:
http://localhost:3000/periods/1/budgets.%23<budget:0xb719b18c>
Why is render :action => "new" not working in my case?
Again, I am sorry if this group has been inundated with similar
questions, I am just completely stuck!
Thank you!

Yum curiosity: --obsoletes with update, useful or not?
Got a wild hair this A.M. and decided to inundate my two brain cells.
"Man yum" includes this:
update If run without any packages, update will update every
currently installed package. ...
assumed to be a shell glob and any matches are then installed.
If the --obsoletes flag is present yum will include package...

putting labels back on a matrix.
I did not post this question to the ecology list, even though it is about an analysis using Vegan, since my question is based more on basic data manipulation in R. I think this is a fairly simple question but for the life of me I cannot find a reference for in the archives.
I have an analysis using a matrix in which I needed to strip the ID variable off the input data to run the analysis. Now I

I think this would be great. In fact, I was getting ready to propose
something like that myself. :)
FWIW, lldb DataExtractors already support this kind of slicing.

What would you tell the CIO in an "ABCs of Email" overview?

on the topics that should be included, keeping in mind the fact that
the target reader is a CIO, IT manager, or someone who wants to
understand the basics, *not* actively get involved in email management.
You don't need to write an essay for me or inundate me with links
(though hey, if you want to make my life easier I shall not
complain). What I'm looking for, primarily, are the categories of
information that I should cover. In other words, if your CIO had an
email ephiphany and asked you to give a half-hour presentation, what

Happy Birthday portable OpenSSH!
It was one year ago today that I released a patch to get OpenSSH
compiling on Linux. I had no idea just how much trouble releasing that
patch would get me into :)
Within days I was inundated with patches, improvements and portability
enhancements - contributions which have made portable OpenSSH the
success it is today.
So allow me to thank the current developers and all of you who have
contributed code, time and encouragement to the portable OpenSSH
project.
Special thanks are rese...

HELP! initialise_groups/initgroups input/output error
Hello everyone,
I asked about this problem a few days ago because I am
at a loss as to what is causing it. Below is the
message I posted. I am resending it because I could
really use some help, and because the address I
originally sent it from has been inundated with
message after message containing the Kaspersky virus.
I must say that it is sad that people that send
messages to mailing lists are being hit with spam and
viruses by others that are harvesting addresses from
the messages. It seriously annoys me - spam and such
is certainly in at a high level...

empty but not removing it !!!!
Could you please try to remove the empty gcc/unwind.h and try again? I
am currently compiling on a powerbook. I will rep...

[LLVMdev] GCC Merge Coming Up
Hi LLVMites,
There's going to be new LLVM-GCC merge with Apple's GCC 4.2 coming
up. If all goes well, this should happen tomorrow (Tuesday). I'll
have Tanya disable emails when I apply the patch so that you aren't
inundated with a bunch of messages. But I will send out the patch
afterwards as an attachment.
One of the main reasons for this merge is to get SSE4 support into
LLVM-GCC -- Nate Begeman already started adding support for SSE4 on
the code-gen side -- as well as testsuite improvements and other
gene...
