Novell client caused Domain Logons to crash NT
I am trying to get domains logons going for and NT network. Samba is running fine, and the NT station I have started with joined the domain without any issues - except of course that I can't log on to the server. When I change the logons to the domain rather that the workstation in the IntranetWare logon client, it crashes the NT box (blue screen, winlogon.exe fatal error, etc.). We do have multiple BDC's, but the is...

This problem does not occur with files created by any other MS Office product. File size does not seem to matter either. On the client side (all NT 4.0 workstation SP3, Novell Intranetware Client, MS Office 97), the event viewer reports Event ID 3009 "The redirector failed to unlock part of a file on server sambaserv". I could not find any MS Knowledgebase articles regarding this error. Has anybody else seen this problem? If so, what is the fix? oplocks? keepalive? Tha...
