Samba 4.3. - Problem with roaming profiles
This problem has several elements but it did not evidence itself until we moved from a MicroSoft AD-DC to a Samba AD-DC. The environment is is a FreeBSD-10.3 Bhyve VM hosted on a 16 core host also running FreeBSD-10.3. The version of Samba is 4.3.11 obtained through FreeBSD ports. The AD clients are all running MSWin7pro patched up-to-date. Roaming profiles are in use. We have an intermittent

[clearview-discuss] visualizing devices, links, and interfaces
A revised illustration that incorporates Meem''s earlier recommendations has been posted on our project page: http://opensolaris.org/os/project/clearview/cv-linkif.gif Aside from showing the interrelationships between the devices, links, and interfaces, it also shows how vanity naming might be applied to the configuration. The illustration continues to be a work in progress (already, some minor errors have been spotted :) ) so feedback is certainly welcome. Cc''ing the Crossbow team in case...

QoS HTB burst and cburst parameters-FLEX
All: Does anyone know what the burst and cburst parameter do? My understanding so far: * I see a lot of different definitions on the web. It seems like burst is the number of bytes sent before serving other queues/classes. So if burst was 1000 bytes and class rate was 100kibit per second. It would send 1000 bytes each time the scheduler service that queue to a rate of 100 kbit per

Is there an equivalent to predict(..., type="linear") of a Proportional hazard model for a Cox model instead?
Hi all, Is there an equivalent to predict(...,type="linear") of a Proportional hazard model for a Cox model instead? For example, the Figure 13.12 in MASS (p384) is produced by: (aids.ps <- survreg(Surv(survtime + 0.9, status) ~ state + T.categ + pspline(age, df=6), data = Aidsp)) zz <- predict(aids.ps, data.frame(state = factor(rep("NSW", 83), levels =

Wine call graph; wineserver; the "big picture".
...s with COM at least - so maybe DCOM is a better bet (I had the possibly niave idea of implementing COM via DCOM - it would be almost transparent, slower but less "dangerous"). I've read most of the developer docs and some relevant source but I'm still having problems grokking the interrelationships between different parts of wine and the role(s) of wineserver. I have a general understanding of Win32 from a programatic point of view rather than wine's implementation details. While I'm quite willing to "read the source" there's rather a lot of it :) and rather deep depende...

Problems with multiple ''id'' columns in a join_table
I have a problem declaring a relationship through a join_table ; the SQL generated by ActiveRecord is correct, but there are two columns called ''id'', and the final object gets the ''wrong'' column ... Here''s a more detailed description of the data, code, and problem :- There''s a People table, with id, name, and a few things. Also a

Large Database with lots of tables
Hello all, I am a rails nuby and I am evaluating using Rails for a new web application. The application will have a large number of tables (>70) that will basically mimic a large collection of paper forms that user would otherwise have to fill out. From what I have read on rails thus far it seems I would have to create a lot of models and form templates. Is this common and if so does

Promise raid cards
Hello. I would like to know if promise RAID cards are compatible with CentOS / RHEL ? I have seen that only SATA is supported on the RHEL hardware compatibility list. The other ATA raid cards seems not to be compatible. They give source code and promise grants compatibility with RedHat 8 and 9 but not RHEL. I would like to know if somebody tried a ATA raid card like Fasttrack TX2000, SX4000,
