Interlacing two vectors
I want to interlace two vectors. This I can do:
> x <- 1:4
> z <- x+0.5
> as.vector(t(cbind(x,z)))
[1] 1.0 1.5 2.0 2.5 3.0 3.5 4.0 4.5
but this seems rather inelegant. Any suggestions?

Theora encode/decode performance is poor with resolution 640X480
Hi,
We build a Voip client with Iaxclient(Jiaxclient+Iaxclient2.1beta1+Theora1.0+libvidcap0.21),when we established video call with resolution 640X480 in both sides, the CPU is consumed about 100%,the workload of Asterisk server is good at that moment. This issue does not exist with the resolution 320X240, the environment is as following,
- CPU Interl Celeron 2.66GHz,RAM1GB,

Shorewall reporting with rrdtool and human readeable iptables output problem.
...ptables, so the output of the show "rule" command will not output
human readeable bytes now.
i think shorewall must have a option for disabling human readeable
outputs, so we can get presise information about traffic...
way you think ?
Thanks and sorry for my poor english,

Win2K/XP, oplocks, and readahead.
Hi!
I'm working with Samba backed by a high performance filesystem. From a
Windows 2K and Windows XP client I'm trying to achieve very high speed
single file throughput over GigE from the Windows client using either
open/write or CreateFile/ReadFile APIs. I'd rather not venture into
overlapped IO there so that we don't have to recommend that all our
customers rewrite their

llvm bug 36466 fix
Hi Dave
Sorry, I meant the hardware you're using to compile LLVM - you mentioned it
took you a long time to rebuild it so it would be hard for you to
write/experiment on tests.
=============================
Compiling LLVM doesn't take me too much time(less than 2 hours). The
hardware is good enough and I am using interl E5 CPU. What I mean is that
it took me a long time to analysis the

llvm bug 36466 fix
Hi Dave
I am not going to access any hardware. I am using clang to analysis the ARM
binaries. The binary is 483.xalancbmk in CPU SPEC2006. When I use the
optimization O0, no crash will occur. The crash occurs when I set
optimization level as O1,O2,O3 and Os.
If I have to recompile and rerun the tests. What version of llvm is
suggested. It would be better if anyone could provide the patch on this

I quit.
It is with regret that I announce that Shorewall development and support is
officially ended.
Sean''s post has finally driven it home to me that in the long term, trying
to support a project like Shorewall is impossible for a person of my
personality and age.
Sean -- please believe that this isn''t about you or your post -- your post
was just the proverbial straw on this old
