SIP interconnection problem
Hi all,
I've setup two * servers which are SIP interconnected ala osaka/toronto from the * book (before anyone sugggests using
IAX instead, no, I NEED to have them SIP interconnected for verification/test purposes). Then I have a
Zoiper connected to one of them via IAX (so that * will not reinvite (?)). As soon as I try to call (via Zoiper) an extension
on the other * I get a "Failed to

OCFS2 & Using the private interconnect with jumbo frames for heartbeat
When using OCFS2 in a Oracle RAC set, one would configure OCFS2 to use the
private interconnect address ( in cluster.conf).
Are there any known issues / reasons not to have the private interconnect
set up for jumbo frames when using in conjunction with OCFS2 ?
Thanks

Multiple interconnects
...nd now have a pair of nodes
happily sharing an OCFS volume. I was wondering, though, if it was possible
to configure a second private IP address so that the nodes could communicate
over more than one Gigabit Ethernet connection.
Our RAC books and online docs make some vague references to multiple
interconnects, but I have yet to see an actual explanation of how that
works. I suppose I could try using the Linux bonding driver to pair up the
NICs, but I'd prefer if this was something that Oracle could handle.
Thanks, by the way, for all the help so far. Everything's running
nice and smoothly now...

SIP Trunking Mantra (Origination)
Hello Everyone,
We are currently having talks with various service providers, and
trying to determine what the best way is to interconnect in order to
have access to the PSTN network. As you know there are two ways of
doing this:
Traditional PRI: Have trunks grouped into a transport layer such as
OC3/12. With DIDs attached to the group. As you many know, this
approach would also require a POP

Asterisk and Hipath interconnections
Hi Stephen,
You said that PRI works great. We are using HiPath 3550 and Siemens
digital phone which using *11, *97 etc for function keys. However
Asterisk uses the the * key plus one or two digits for function keys as
well(it is common key combination for functions). So is it any way to
disable *11, *97 keys in HiPath system and pass this keys to Asterisk?
Thanks and regards,
Isaac

Interconnecting Cisco 1760 routers with Asterisk
Good day everyone.
I have Cisco 1760 routers that do site to site voip. Each router has 2 fxs
ports that connect to the local pbx and use sip to connect to other routers
over the WAN. I am thinking of putting in an asterisk box at the hub site
for interconnectivity with our global office voip provider. This provider
runs asterisk.
Question is - can Cisco 1760 routers make/receive calls to/fro

how to interconnect gnugk and asterisk?
Hello folks.
We are trying to interconnect an asterisk installation with a gnugk 2.0.5
installation to become able to use some H323 hardware that needs a gatekeeper
(particulary an Ericsson WebSwitch 100).
We have managed asterisk to dial H323 endpoints successfully (although calls
are interrupted immediately after connection with "spawn extension exited
non-zero"), but we could not

Connect 16 E1/T1 between * and other switch...
Hi all,
I'm looking the way to connect 16 E1/T1 to my * server. How it would be possible ? . Does anyone have already this experience ?
I'm thinking to do using two * machine servers. One card E400XX or T400XX from digium on each machine and interconnect one each other using IAX. One * as a master, and the other which will connect to this (master) to use its numbering plan...

ILEC Interconnect
Hello Everyone,
We are looking to interconnect with a local ILEC over an OC-n transport layer.
They basically gave us two options in terms of mapping the SONET to the DS3:
* VT1.5s mapping
* DS1s mapping
The second option is quite clear. We would MUX the connection, and plug
the lines into qaud t1 cads etc... The tech mentioned that with the second
option we would also need a DACS to convert

Interconnecting two lans using Asterisk over a PSTN
Hello,
I am a newbie in Asterisk IP PBX but I am very impressed by its
functionalities.
I have read that It can work over IP network and across the PSTN.
I am not very sure how it works over the PSTN..
In case if people have not yet the Internet or SDL access, I would like just to
know if it is possible to interconnect two IP LANs using the traditionnal
analog Network and Asterisk PBX? In such I

Has anyone had any luck getting a SIP trunk up and working between
Callmanager and Asterisk? If so were there any steps you had to take
that were not in the documentation on wiki?

Verizon Interconnection
Hi,
Has anyone on this list connected with Verizon's SIP product? We are
currently undergoing interop testing with Verizon, and honestly, it seems
like the most convoluted process. I'd be interested in talking with
someone else who has gone through this and run a few things past you.

Hi guys,
I need to interconnect an asterisk server (1.4.17) with an alcatel pbx,
because i want that an asterisk extension can call an alcatel extension
and viceversa. I need to do this throug a NT port (of the digium card)
for technical reasons (linked with alcatel hardware).
Card installation was fine, but i'm not sure of the configuration i

BT IP Exchange interconnect
Hi All,
Has anyone passed the tests using Asterisk:

I presume the same rules apply for scaling and possibly have
OpenSIPS/Kamailio on the front?
Thanks.

mount.ocfs2: Transport endpoint is not connected while mounting
Hi All,
I have a cluster of four nodes and one will not join the cluster. I have
two IPs on each node, one external and one internal. I have tried
changing around the IPs in the /etc/ocfs2/cluster.conf and that helped -
at least I recovered three of the machines. Any suggestions on where
else to look?
Best Regards

People can play with the numbers all they want.
Shared memory systems (especially NUMA) with their multi-GBps, native
interconnects are typically going to be faster at anything that is GbE or
FC interconnected. At the same time, lower-cost, clustered systems
are competitive *IF* the application scales _linearally_. In this test
scenario, the operations were geared towards operations that scale
_linearally_.
But even then, I...
