Videoconference one-to-many
Dear all, I've implemented an Asterisk 1.4 with SIP service for voip and video. So I can establish a voip + video connection *one-to-one* only....it works OK. But I'd like to implement a videoconference *one-to-many* in order to intercommunicate many clients, is it possible with Asterisk 1.4 ??? (multicast is better than brodcast in this situation of course) Thanks a lot, Alejandro

Gluster Geo replication
...pen on master and slave for inter communication or just 22 would work since it's using the rsync over ssh for actual data push ? *?* *Port 22 (TCP):* Used by SSH for secure data communication in Geo-replication. *?* *Port 24007 (TCP):* Used by the Gluster daemon (glusterd) for management and to intercommunicate with other glusterd instances. *?* *Ports 24008 & 24009 (TCP):* Used for GlusterFS data and metadata operations. *?* *Port 49152 to 49664 (TCP):* Used by GlusterFS for client connections. I see some monitoring happening on the tcp ports for slave volume, is this communication secure ? ---------...

Prioritizing streams
I have two servers on a network that need to intercommunicate a lot (file sharing and authentication information). I''d like to prioritise that traffic on them from their other network traffic, but I don''t want to think in terms of necessarily fixing bandwidths; I just want the inter-server communication to go out first if there''...

Recommendations about infrastructure to use with Asterisk
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all! I'm investigating the possibility of using Asterisk as much for internal communication in an office as between offices and I would like to know what considerations you could comment to me being based on the experience that you have had. A priori two things come to my mind: * As to network topology, is advisable to have switches and

re list
Hi I am new here and am wondering if I have the correct list to subscibe to. I am looking for a user forum; technical mutual help/tutorial type list; would this be that type of thing? So far the messages I am seeing are mainly intercommunications between what appear to be developers working on assigned sub-projects of various flavors of samba. I don't want to spam a list with

multiple applications to reduce complexity but how to interact...
Hi, we are building couple of application that will need to communicate with each other, because there where special in what they do, I will explain it with some general application: For example, you have a projectmanagement application, where you can store messages, milestones, enc, and you have a online time registration application. FW: rsync performance
Not sure if this is not the proper channel (forum) for this, but I need some help. We have been using rsync in various ways on various platforms. Linux-SGI (IRIX)-MacOSX In all cases the actual LOCAL file transfer seems to be limited to 10MB/sec from disk to disk. Always copy whole files. (no rolling checksums) Rsync ?avW rsync version 2.5.6 protocol version 26 We have tested

Win2k seems to work ok. XP doesn't. It cannot find the servers with search. What are
