interacing with UART
Hi I would like SYSLINUX to get input from UART and act accordingly. For example, I want to choose what rootfs to load according to the sequence received from UART. So I'd like to know if SYSLINUX a the infrastructure for doing this and if it maybe some reference for it. Thanks a lot, Tal

Routing across some interaces
Hi all, I need help for one problem... I want to see and manage traffic of two interfaces. I''ve read that i can use IMQ but it don''t direct traffic on the interfaces. It''s true?! Looking the example at 9.7.1 chapter of LARTC HOWTO I know how to manage traffic from a net (in the example 10.0.0.230/32) but how i can send this traffic to device eth0 and the default traffic

xen dies on Linux agpgart interace
Xen appears to kernel panic. Boot up terminates and hangs with the message "agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 152 M. " This is a compiled Xen-2.0 latest snapshot with agp support in the kernel. Has anyone else had similar problems with agp? tftp, slackware and aliased eth0
...and adding the tftpd and dhcpd services I needed the machine to listen for dhcpd client requests on multiple subnets so the machine was multihomed using aliased interfaces as such: eth0.subnet001 eth0.subnet002 ... When attempting to setup tftpd I have found that it only utilized the last aliased interace in the list of ifconfig and handed out pxeboot requests on the one subnet vs. all subnets that any aliased interface is using. I did find a piece of code or patch someone submitted regarding this but it did not work correctly. Is this something that can modified to listen on any aliased interface...

pxe boot of new xen VMs
When I try to pxe boot a new VM through lvm and libxl I find about 1 in 10 times the pxe requests will be acknlwledged but if I go into the interacive ipxe screens it will boot every time. Is it possible that the network configuration is not built when the VM starts trying to get its pxe address? -- Alvin Starr || voice: (905)513-7688 Netvel Inc. ||

libopus API question - 120ms encoding
The libopus encoder's opus_encode() method is documented as "Encodes an Opus frame". Does that mean that it always produces a single Opus frame (i.e. the number of frames in the TOC byte will always be 0)? It's not clear from the documentation, but the fact that it cannot produce a 120ms Opus packet makes me wonder if that was the intention and any multi-frame Opus packets must

Auth process sometimes stop responding after upgrade
Hi all; I've upgraded a ring of dovecot directors from 2.2.15 to 2.2.36. After the upgrade I've got some instability: a few time per day per server, seemly at random, the auth process stop responding and the clients cannot authenticate any more: Sep 6 14:45:51 imap-front13 dovecot: pop3-login: Warning: Auth process not responding, delayed sending initial response (greeting):

libopus API question - 120ms encoding
Hi Jean-Marc, A simpler question. How does opus_encode() generate packets of 20ms (SILK-only or Hybrid)? Concatenating two 10ms frames or doing it straight with just one 20ms frame?

debug vs regular mode
Dear all, I had a R segmentation fault, and then invoked debug mode and ran step by step. When I reached "terms(Y~X1*X2*...*X16)", I would then have "segmentation" fault. However, if I just ran this under regular "R interactive" mode, it would be fine though taking long time. My questions are: 1. Is there a known limit of terms for a formula? 2. Why does the

Calling rcmd.exe from a CGI
...ve set the R_HOME environment variable in the cgi prior to executing foo.pl and I've verified that R_HOME is set in foo.pl when it forks rcmd.exe but that wasn't enough to resolve the problem. Are there any other required environment variables for rcmd.exe? I know there are other ways to interace R to a browser but I am currently restricted to the scheme described above. 'buildpkg.sh' for OpenSSH - non-interactive install?
I have a minor issue with the 'buildpkg.sh' script in the contrib/solaris directory for OpenSSH (3.4p1 in my case) that I'm hoping might be solvable. First off, I'd like to say that I've been quite happy with the script; for interactive installs, it's worked great. My problem is occurring due to my attempts to make it work non-interac- tively, however, within an init

Interface binding ignores my settings in 2.0.6
I have a multi-homed server with interfaces into two VLANs (one Unix and one NT). I need for all Samba traffic to go through the NT VLAN interface (which is not the primary, of course). Under 2.0.5a I was able to do this with the "Interfaces" option by specifying the NT interace first (I did not do the "Bind Interface Only"). However, 2.0.6 seems to ignore this setting which causing traffic to be routed which, of course, degrades performance somewhat (okay, a wire speed (OC-12) router would be nice :-D). I can see that Samba "adds" the interface for t...
