2.1.7 altmove not working
...eeping the old configs. I have a strange problem on the new box in that altmove just doesn't work. I have my main storage under /home/email, indexes under /home/indexes and ALT under /home/email_archive. When I run the altmove command, the following broken symlink is created in /home/email/integrafin.co.uk/acrow: lrwxrwxrwx. 1 email email 54 Jun 8 10:46 dbox-alt-root -> /home/email_archive/integrafin.co.uk/a/acrow/mailboxes But nothing is created in the archive other than the empty directory: /home/email_archive/integrafin.co.uk/a/acrow. Hi Alex, Nice information about forest type. Linking mdbox directories
Hi Timo/list, We have a scenario in which some email accounts on dovecot (stored in mdbox, separate paths for indexes, email, ALT storage and also using SIS for attachments, LDAP directory) need their names changed. I know we could just change the mail LDAP attribute (and leave mailMessageStore alone) so they keep the same directories on disk, but this would throw a spanner in the works for

How do I know if it's better for me to use a raid card or not, to include flash-cache on it or not, to use ZFS or not, when combined with a small number of SSDs in Replica 3. Basic connection between Mitel 3300 ICP and Asterisk (trixbox) - from a clueless newbie....
Hi all, Our company has deployed a Mitel 3300 system (only about 2.5 years ago) and we are experimenting with setting up Asterisk in our head office (for business continuity, ie we have a bird flu epidemic and no-one can come in, therefore use SIP softphones at home to co-ordinate activity) and at a remote site in the Isle of Man (connected via 2Mbps SDSL) Ideally we'd like anyone on either

JBODs are just that, bunches of disks, and they don't have any cache above them in hardware. If you're going to use ZFS under Gluster, look at the ZFS docs first. Short answer is no.

confusion and problem with Samba v3.3.8 as PDC with ldapsam backend
Hello, I'm trying to use samba v3.3.8 on Centos 5.5 to act as a PDC, using ldap as the backend for users, groups, and computers. The ldap I'm using is Centos Directory Server v8.1. The setting is a new, never used before, installation of samba and ldap. There are no users other than what exists by default after a Centos install. The smb.conf contains what is my best guess for the

Testing a forest trusts in Samba 4.4.5 AD environment
Hi List, I am currently testing inter-forest trusts between a pair of AD domains. All DCs and member servers are using Sernet Samba 4.4.5. I have set up conditional forwarding in by Bind setup (I'm using BIND9_DLZ) and all machines can resolve each other. On the DCs, I can see users from the other side of the trust using wbinfo -u --domain=<other domain>. In addition if I set up ID

Samba 4 AD Domain Trusts
Hi, We are looking at moving from a Samba NT4-Style domain to Samba 4 AD. We currently have two NT4-style domains set to to trust each other. Is this possible with S4 AD domains? I guess we will probably lose the IDMAP accounting (which was stored in LDAP) when we migrate - am I correct in that assumption? Thanks Alex
