Thanks for your hacked up instcodec source code. I installed the 16.8
kbit/s 16kHz Q5 mode and it worked instantly. It offers a pretty decent
and clear sound quality.
I was only doing some testing from one PC to another on my home LAN
and so far I am impressed.

Q4 and Q3 seem to produce the same results. Internally speex is controlled
by tables

...the full release of the Speex ACM
codec. This allows the use of certain Speex modes in ACM aware
applications, which in turn allows storing Speex data in WAV and AVI
streams. More importantly, it allows Speex support in Netmeeting,
which requires a small tool by DarkAvenger, called [11]InstCodec, to
register the Speex ACM codec with Netmeeting.
