Oddity with CentOS 6.4 instasll
I have two SSD laptops. On one of them, I easily installed CentOS.
On the second one, it failed at examining storage--it would either freeze
completely or crash with a kernel panic message.
On the second one, a generic Clevo, I decided to reinstall, and got the
same issue--hanging or kernel panic on examining storage, though it had
been trouble free the first time.
I've been googling

So you have smb.conf at /etc/samba, the manpages at /usr/share/man and
everything else at /usr/local/samba.
If you open a terminal and type 'echo $PATH' , do you have
'/usr/local/samba/bin:/usr/local/samba/sbin:' at the start ?

I compile myself. I removed all packets for samba before start the
instalation.
My options: ./configure --sysconfdir=/etc/samba/ --mandir=/usr/share/man/
--enable-debug --enable-selftest && make && make instasll

can't do a yum install of apache C7
Hey all,
I'm logged into a CentOS 7 box and trying to install apache. Not having any
luck, as it's not being found. Which is odd, because I have the right repos
enabled:
[root at hadoop1:/etc/yum.repos.d] #cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.0 (Maipo)
[root at hadoop1:/etc/yum.repos.d] #yum repolist
Loaded plugins: amazon-id, rhui-lb
