TSAN hack on AArch64 for Android
..."green". So, if they currently pass on the production buildbots, you can't mark them as unstable because of your patch, as that will mean your patch is making them unstable, and we can't just make dozens of tests unstable for any amount of features. If your patch introduces the instability, you'll have to fix them before commit. That's why I suggested splitting it into many small chunks, none of which will leave the tree in an unstable state, because you'll have time to look at each instability individually, and fix them before commit. The bots will also be happier, and e...

kernel: Your time source seems to be instable or some driver is hogging interupts
The following error on a SMP x86_64 Centos 4.3 kernel 2.6.9-34 ELsmp appears at boot. and causes things to compute faster. Example, a wait(5) should wait for 5 seconds....it waits for 3 or 2. Has it been patched in the more recent kernel for Centos 2.6.9-34.0.1 ? dmseg output: Freeing unused kernel memory: 164k freed Losing some ticks... checking if CPU

Chan_mobile instability
Hi all, I'm testing chan_mobile for a couple of months and I'm facing some instability problems. I would appreciate if somebody could help me with these issues: - after a call the bluetooth connection disconnects; - when I make a outgoing call and the other side answer, sometimes asterisk is not informed, so it continues to ring my side but the other side can already hear my voice....

instabilities in wxRuby 1.9.6
I have recently started to use wxRuby, because I have used the wxWidgets library from C++ for a few years and found it an excellent toolkit. I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and version 1.9.6 of wxRuby. A problem though is a number of instabilities. This may be due to my own ignorance, but I have usually found C++/wxWidgets, once the program compiles it will at least stay working, if at times

Sys.getenv(): Error in substring(x, m + 1L) : invalid multibyte string at '<ff>' if an environment variable contains \xFF

Thanks, indeed, type instability is a big problem of the approach "turn invalid strings to bytes". It is something what is historically being done in regular expression operations, but it is brittle and not user friendly: writing code to be agnostic to whether we are dealing with "bytes" or a regular string...

Instable graphics with GeForce GT 730M, especially on external monitor
Which kernel did you update from and to? Also, 4.12 is fairly old - can you try like a live usb image of some distro with e.g. a 5.0 kernel or something? How do you connect the external screen? Is it like a DP port with an optional dock with a variety of active DP adapters? Or is there a DP++ port that you're plugging a DP <-> HDMI passive adapter into? On Tue, Jun 18, 2019 at 3:28 PM

RHEL/CentOS 7.x KVM kernel instability & unreliability
Hello, I'm managing smaller private virtualization infrastructure, currently based on CentOS 7.x. In the past we were running mostly on Debian 7 (kernel 3.2.x) and CentOS 6.x without problems. After we have upgraded to CentOS 7.x, I have experienced occasional physical host crashes when I did e.g. suspend or resume more virtual machines OR random virtual machine checkpoint was invalid and VM

USB PCI Passthrough System Instability
I recently managed to get PCI Passthrough to work for a Windows HVM operating under Xen 3.2 on Fedora 8. I needed to get USB ports passed through to the Windows VM with full hot plug functionality and I was able to get that working using a Dell 755 with a USB PCI expansion card. However, when trying to bring the box up to an operational status status I have encountered some rather severe

Instability with nearly all programs
Hello, I realize that Wine is still beta software but I've got a question. I installed Wine on my Win2k/Mandrake8.1 dual boot machine. It thought the registry was corrupted (it isn't), so I couldn't use it and had to let it make an imitation. My problem is that the only programs that seem to run stably on Wine are NotePad and Calc. I was hoping to be able to run Dreamweaver,

bonding interface instable
Hi all, i recently found that some frontend servers (Centos6) show: kernel: bonding: bond0: link status definitely up for interface eth2. kernel: bonding: bond0: link status definitely down for interface eth2, disabling it kernel: bonding: bond0: link status definitely up for interface eth2. On some days frequently and on others none. But there is no hw failure or similar. $ cat

incorrect configuration may cause instability
Hi, When two systems with the same name and key pair try to connect to a tinc mesh, the whole mesh is dossed. Situation: a vps is migrated to an other hoster. Access has been disabled, vps is powered on. Then suddenly after a couple of weeks the vps is powerd on again causing two vps'es trying to connect with the same credentials. I think the result should be that neither of those two nodes

Odd behavior since upgrading to 4.9.6
...bleshooting section of the samba backup wiki page; however, the error comes and goes, so I don't know if this means it is something else. Lastly (and most disturbingly), I moved the FSMO roles from dc3 to dc4 last night (to see if the load on dc3 was related to owning those roles) and had huge instability this morning. All dcs looked OK last night (I did restart samba on dc3 when the system was experiencing low memory), but I cam in this morning and found that dc4 and dc5 had such high loads that clients that were communicating with those DCs were unable to log in. Our monitoring system saw huge CPU...

SolidWorks 2013 performance problems
...pen Source Agreement is incompatible with SolidWorks as a commercial organization and as such we are instructed in Technical Support not to support this operating system. > In Technical Support our experience with files being accessed from Linux Samba servers is that this in itself can generate instability in SolidWorks. By the instructions of our legal department we cannot investigate the root cause of these instabilities. I'm at a loss how to even debug the performance since the windows client seems to behave perfectly reasonably. We're using SolidWorks 2013 with the latest patches (servi...

Instable graphics with GeForce GT 730M, especially on external monitor
What's the connector name when you plug in via, say, DVI? Is it "DP-1" or is it "DVI-D-1" or whatever? You should be able to see the name in 'xrandr'. Unfortunately I don't know how the T440p is wired, there are a few ways it could go. In some cases, even the "VGA" port is secretly a DP -> VGA active adapter inside the laptop. Basically I'm

rio instabilities
I''m having some serious problems with rio (rio.rubyforge.org) within my Rails app and I was wondering if you lot could offer any advice. So: I''m writing an app that generates folders full of content. The rough process of what happens when you run the "Generate" method on a "Site" object is: it copies a template directory to a directory named (site.directory)
