inotify trouble
...aving no space on the device and sending samba into oblivion. Anyone knows what is causing this? I never had that before having run a lot of different samba versions. I also found a couple of entries in the logs like this. [2008/01/18 15:50:46, 1] smbd/notify_inotify.c:watch_destructor(342) inotify_rm_watch returned Invalid argument This doesn't seem to cause any trouble though. Samba: 3.0.28 Kernel: 2.6.20.3 Help is greatly appreciated Regards Rob

Alpha4 pre-release, please upgrade
Please try if http://dovecot.org/nightly/dovecot-latest.tar.gz (or the CVS directly) works with you. I made a lot of changes to dovecot-auth, so I wouldn't want to make alpha4 release without some more testing in different environments. I'll release alpha4 in a few days, but it'll be basically same as this unless more bugs get fixed. Some of the changes include: - IMAP: We might

Race condition in IMAP NOTIFY for events received NOTIFY_DELAY_MSECS apart
...d same thing for two flag updates in the "test" mailbox.) This is not specific to INBOX as once "test" is selected the same problem arises. AFAICT the race is in ?src/lib-storage/list/mailbox-list-index-notify.c? which for some reason doesn't acknowledge ST_CHANGED() after inotify_rm_watch(), but I couldn't get my head around that file. Samba 4 slow write
Hi Jones, many thanks again four your help and your time. Thanks for the patch too - I'll check it up. On my Ubuntu, there is a Samba 4.1.6. I'll install the samba source package, and will try to apply the patch, then - I hope - the package will be compiled as well. I'll notify to you about the result. (First, I need to upgrade that server.) Thanks again, Ervin On Thu, Apr
