strange _spawnl() and system() behavior with VC++ Pro 5.0
...the
root
directory. Type has the same problem with opening files that unzip has.
This doesn't occur if I try it on a local drive. My network drive is
mounted to
a Solaris 2.6 box using Samba. Can anyone let me know what might be
happening?

How to sync /etc/smbpasswd with /etc/passwd ?
While we do sync our /etc/passwd whenever /etc/smbpasswd is changed via the
Samba sync option that does not seem to be possible the other way round:
I just want a /etc/smbpasswd generated from my /etc/passwd with the correct
passwords as used for the UniX login...
Is that possible ?

Help please -- smbmount refuses to work!
Hey folks...this is my first time working with samba and I'm stumped here! I
cannot get smbmount to work for the life of me, and I've been playing with
this for a few days now to no avail. I'm hoping someone here might be able
to help me out, so I've included as many details as I could think of. Also,
if this is the wrong forum, I apologize in advance...please point me to the
right
