Dot plot with two grouping variables concurrently
Dear R help(ers). I'm an R-learner (about 10 hours now) trying to make a
ranked dot plot where the symbols are coded by two variables concurrently.
I'm trying to use Deepanyan Sarkar's book 'Lattice' as a guide but get the
feeling it is a bit advanced for my level of understanding.
I have three questions
Q1.
Right now I like to know how to get the dual coding working

question NIS password authenication
Fellow Samba Folks,
I am trying to setup Samba version 2.2.8a. I would like to
authenticate the users with their NIS password and not use a smbpasswd file
on the Samba Server. I also want to use the encrypt password feature. The
clients will be using XP or Win2K os. Is this possible or do I have to find
a Windows Domain Server. Thanks

Sysloglogger with multiple logs
Hi all,
I''ve been using SyslogLogger to do standard application logging and
it works great. I want to do my custom application logging to a seperate
log but I''m having problems. I create the default application logger
with SyslogLogger.new (leaving it with the the default application name)
my second instance of the SyslogLogger I pass it the name
custom_app_log. Now in my

Sorting order of reorder with multiple variables
I've been building a ranked dot plot for several days now and am sorting the
data using the reorder command. What I don't understand is how reorder
works when mutiple varibles are plotted by grouping. In the example below
I'm using re-order to sort by a variable name Resv_Prop, but I'm plotting up
to three different values of Resv_prop (different Year values) for each
factor.

Building Libtheora Beta 2 in Ms Visual C++ 2005 problems
Hi All,
I have been using a slightly modified version of libtheora (from about
a year ago) and since libthoera is now reached BETA 2 I thought it
would be time to update. My application worked fine with that version
of libtheora.
So now I am trying to build libtheora beta 2 in Ms Visual C++ 2005 and
I am having a few problems. When I try to compile it I get the error

Update on Vorbis RTP I-D
Hi all,
I'm in the final stages of putting a new Vorbis RTP draft together, the
new sections are below.
There are a number of open questions:
1.) At present there is a 16 bit length field for the codebooks. As
they are spec'd as being unbound in length, but typically around 15K,
are there situations where they may be greater than 64KB? The size
limit can be extended to 2MB as there

No automatic refresh?
Hi!
I've been struggling with this install of Samba 2.0.4b on Linux/x86 2.0.36.
All of the client machines run Windows NT 4, SP 3.
I'm exporting /tmp as pub, and if I right click in the folder and create
a new folder, it doesn't show up until I go to 'view' and 'refresh'.
If I delete something, it doesn't go away until I refresh.
Why?

Updated Vorbis RTP I-D
Hi all,
Apologies in advance, this email is quite long.
I've prepared an updated Vorbis RTP Internet Draft, which is a
continuation of draft-moffitt-vorbis-rtp-00.txt which can be found
below.
If this new draft gets the ok I'd like to submit this to the AVT WG
later this week.
There are a number of changes over the original I-D, notably the
changing of the M bit function in the RTP
