Inheriting from AdminController intstead from ApplicationController
Hi
I would like to do the following:
I have created an admin namespace and the required folders app/admin
views/admin etc. And then I wanted all controllers under app/admin to
inherit from a controller named AdminController which resists under
app/admin/admin.rb instead of inhereting from ApplicationController,
so I could better separate between admin and public section. The

I thought that an object inherited rights from the object above it
i.e. nested groups
So a group that is a member of Domain Admins would have the same
rights as Administrators, because Domain Admins is a member of
Administrators, or am I missing something ???

Need Help Understanding Situation with Table Columns
I am trying to create an application loosely based on the Depot application
presented in Agile Web Development with Rails (AWDwR). I am using InstantRails
for the server. In my app I have the folowing controllers:
admin_controller
application_controller
city_map_controller (with method: displayGMap)
The admin_controller was created with the following command:

Could you try it without the pattern? I.e. just this:
class TestInst<string opc, string asmstr,

Potential Patch
Hey folks,
Here at USC we have a few changes we make to the source code for various
reasons -- and we have to make them for each new version. I always shrugged
off sending a patch in because the changes felt very internal, but the more I
think about it, the more I think perhaps they would be good for the main tree.
Additionally, the more of this that gets into the main tree the easier

Hi Louis,
this worked quite well. I used the native Debian Version 4.2.14.
May it be possible, that the getent-problem has something to do with pam-auth-update? I never did that before.
there are still two issues:
1. The path /home/samba does not yet exist, so all the login-paths lead to nowhere. Is it a problem to put the samba shares, except profiles

Some questions remaining about TC
Hello everybody,
I try to work with TC for a little while in my study and there still are a few
questions that I can\''t find any answer anywhere.
Firts about qdisc and classes:
- What is exactly the difference between qdsic and class ? They are
so \"intimately tied together\" that i\''m not sure not make the difference. Why
can\''t we have a qdsic HTB with

idmap problems
<snip>
Hi Rowland - I've spent the past few days going over the wiki and mailing lists. I think I've got the hang of idmaps. May I clarify a couple of things:
~ I have two DC's and one large fileserver (member). I'm using the 'ad' backend.
~ The only only windows group that needs a gidNumber attribute is Domain Users to map this across to the member server.
~ Other
