How to get "Call-ID" SIP header outside "chan_sip" scope ...
Hello there! I'm working on some modifications on Asterisk to adapt it to our needs considering some particular demandings of the infraestructure we want to provide. Two of these modifications are: 1- A proprietary configuration driver that will communicate with a server that will be the source of information for the entire infraestructure; and, 2- A call control application that will be responsible for call timing control and pre-paid...

i2c bus access
Hi, I have a particular situation that syslinux could access a i2c bus to get some data from specific device that my hardware has. Based on these data, syslinux should or not to boot. It's feasible to create some i2c infraestructure to syslinux access i2c bus? It could be used to something more than only my needs? I digged in gpxe code and it has code to provide some i2c functionality. Thanks. -- Jo?o Henrique Ferreira de Freitas - joaohf_at_gmail.com Campinas-SP-Brasil

asterisk 1.4 freezes with queues and iax after virtualization
Hi folks, Recently a customer of us moved his "old" asterisk installation, an 1.4.44 to a VMWARE infraestructure and has started having some weird issues. Asterisk started going slow and even refused to start up. After few tests, it only loaded when deactivating queues and iax2 (with noload in modules file). The thing is that it had been working with these modules loaded and lately it just freezes when tryin...

Hi, Recently we have added 4.10.7 as additional dc, to our existing 4.4.5 samba AD DC, comparing output testparm I have detected that 4.4.5 has map readonly = no store dos attributes = Yes but 4.10.7 doesn't have Also compared smb.conf and both has the same configuration. Is this correct? Are required this configurations on 4.10.7? In a few day I want to upgrade this 4.4.5

iax2 wireless and Multicast
Hi. I'm proposing a wireless distribution system in infraestructure mode for a valley with no cables and distant houses, respect to Asterisk, I can get a company I work with to provide me with E1 and use LCR to get 4 different telcos based on prefix. I've been reading a very interesting paper about voip on wireless, i recommend it really http://wwwcsif.cs...

Digital phones
Hello. Second question. Should I be asking this on the dev list (that's not the question by the way). Q. - there are several mentions on the list that asterisk :- "can interoperate with almost all standards-based telephony equipment" "interconnection with digital and analog telephony equipment" "visual message waiting indicator" etc. etc, That seems

I'm not ignoring it. Actually, I'm one of those who are warning against the "let's migrate the infraestructure and then all will be a path of roses" view. > The linear commit > graph and associated properties is the biggest one. However, I'm also saying that if the loss of the LG (Linear Graph) is the biggest one, then the stumbling rock for adopting git is not realizing its potential. The...

Reflections on Trusting Trust
or "How do I know my copy of FreeBSD is the same as yours?" I have recently been meditating on the issue of validating X.509 root certificates. An obvious extension to that is validating FreeBSD itself. Under "The Cutting Edge", the handbook lists 3 methods of synchronising your personal copy of FreeBSD with the Project's copy: Anonymous CVS, CTM and CVSup. There are
