Shorewall 4.4.6 and Multiple ISP with 2 routed subnets
Hello,
I have 2 ISP uplinks (zones: inet1 and inet2), each with a fixed IP on the outside and a routed subnet (/25 and /26) on the inside. So, behind the firewall i have 2 networksegments (lan1 and lan2) with public IP-addresses. The segments are completely isolated from eachother: hosts in zone "lan1" connect only to "inet1" and...

mark and route traffic in a bridge
Hi all !!
I would to like to mark and route some kind of traffic (ie: outbound
www, now by simplicity)
---inet1--------eth0------------| |
| linux |
--eth1------- clientes
---inet2(90.0.0.1)--------eth2-| |
I have eth0 and eth1 bridged (eth2 is not bridged).
I would to route www outbound clients traffic through eth2.
This scheme works ?
I wrote this scripts:
a) add this line to /etc/iproute2/rt_tables
200 web
b) I assign ip to eth2:

Hosting Starcraft games
...I found the correct iptables
commands to allow me to host games.
First, I entered this in Shorewall rules file:
#ACTION SOURCE DEST PROTO DEST SOURCE ORIGINAL RATE USER
# PORT PORT(S) DEST LIMIT
DNAT inet2 lan4:192.168.4.4:6112 udp 6114
which will map incoming port 6114 to my local PC (ip=192.168.4.4)
using port 6112. However I do not know how to enter the following
command into Shorewall''s tables.
iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING -p udp -s 192.168.4.4/32 --sport 6112 -j SNAT --to...

CIFS, fstab, credentials
Hi,
I just installed CIFS support on my machines and must say it works much better
than smbfs. special characters alright, transfer speed doubled (from 2.8MB/s
to 5.6MB/s on 100MBit).
There's two issues tho I haven't been able to root out:
-credentials file: tried username=<username> and password=<password> in
/etc/credfile, tried user=<username> to match the
