static file serving
Hi,
I''ve got 40 mongrels running across 4 machines with a hardware load
balancer as a proxy. The mongrels serve everything, even files.
How screwed am I if I have a 2MB file on my site? Say 40 people are
downloading that file. Are the mongrels completely locked up?

server and client class communication
...d a guest class. The guest class has a define
vserverinstance.
Now i must configure things that depends on the number of defined
vserverinstances. How would you do that ?
For now each vserverinstance create a file and then i have a fact
collecting the number of file. But i find this rather ineficient as it
need 2 runs of puppet to get the real number of vserver. Is anyone
having a better idea for this kind of problem ?

when serving a small static HTML file. If I then add in Apache with
