Time series influenced by half-time, intake and treatment...
...ce -92, but never related to statistics. Ok, here we go: I've got a set of 15 people, all of them observed over 10 weeks (10 analysed blood samples) with - let us kall it the A-value - influenced by: 1) a half time of the A-value of ~3 weeks 2) intake through diet (constant in time for each individ, but a big variation between the individs) 3) a treatment with a quick response, which may influence the A-value if "sufficient" dose is given. Problem: I do not know the limit for "sufficient" in 3). I also think there is a possibility the limit is individual, and thus may va...

disaggregate frequency table into flat file
...[,1] [,2] [1,] 40 30 [2,] 5 25 i basically need a random sample say 10 from 100: [,1] [,2] [1,] 5 2 [2,] 0 3 i got as far as orig<-as.data.frame.table(orig) orig Var1 Var2 Freq 1 A A 10 2 B A 5 3 A B 30 4 B B 25 and then perhaps individ<-rep(1:4, times=orig$Freq) which gives a vector of the 100 individuals in each of the 4 groups - cells, but I'm (a) stuck here and (b) afraid this is a very round-about way at getting to what I want i.e. I can now sample(individ, 10), but then I'll have a heck of a time getting the resu...

Howto install multiple printers using the same driver for Samba on Linux?
Hi, I would like to install multiple printers (about a hundred) to my Linux site. I have created a smb.conf-file with all the printers (and also a printers.conf as I use CUPS for printing). The printers are e.g. HP LJ 4050 and I do not want to install every one the manual way (I use NT for that). When I manually installs a printer e.g. HP LJ 4050 with driver within lj345.exe from microsoft, the

preallocate CPU usage - pre4
When I use the preallocate patch and create a 77GB file using the function I get a CPU spike on the server-side. The spike lasts about 20 minutes and uses about 20%-25% of the cpu associated with the rsync instance creating the file. The spike is directly linked to the time it takes to create the file. I compiled rsync using cygwin CVS. I initially suspected the implementation of
