vim: space or tab in indenting?
this is semi-off topic but still related to ror.
i had a problem with testing my depot program (which i follow the
tutorial in agile web development book). it took me many hours to solved
the problem. all the while i thought i was using spaces inside the
test/fixtures/products.yml

R/S and large datasets - Database access (also Re: SAS and S/R)
A consensus seems to emerge : R would excel to exploratory work on
small/middle-sized datasets, while SAS would be able to munch much
larger datasets.
However, I see the "size" problem as a red herring. The objects that
have to stay "in core" are usually much smaller than the dataset. For

dhclient in 6.0
hi all... again...
i sent this message to general questions but nobody got excited about
it.
i just installed 6 on my t30 laptop. brand new. when trying dhclient i
get:
DHCPDISCOVER on fxp0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 5
this trys 6 times then this shows up:
No DHCPOFFERS received.
No working leases in present database - sleeping.
i run a tcpdump while requesting a lease and for
