Bug in winealsa.drv? Incredibly specific oddity
I've been struggling desperately to get iGuidance 4 working with Wine and I've come across what seems like an incredibly specific problem. I've been struggling with the TTS output for the navigation, it just keeps randomly locking up the app, sometimes after a mile, sometimes 30, after figuring out I could debug just the wave classes, I think I've found a clue. It keeps hanging

CentOS 6 SFF motherboard or complete system
I am trying to assemble or purchase a set of CentOS 6 compatible SFF workstations, and am finding it incredibly frustrating to do so. hardware.redhat.com is so slow as to be useless and provides almost no information about each of the 1,300 or so products listed in their database; clicking through them one at a time is incredibly frustrating (and about half of them are discontinued or out of stock

[LLVMdev] Incredible effects of extending AtomicSDNode::Ops
Hello, As part of enhancing atomic operations in the ARM backend, we need to extend the Ops array in AtomicSDNode. This array is a private member of AtomicSDNode, so it's only accessible within 85 lines of code, none of which have anything to do with its size. Therefore, increasing the size of Ops shouldn't at all affect the behaviour of LLVM, we supposed. Much to our surprise, this

incredible problem to join NT samba domain with XP client
Hi everybody let me tell you my story I have 5 XP pro computer and only one of them is able to join the domain. I applied the signorseal patch everywhere, I create everything on samba side. Blur is incredibly slow on the intel i915
I'm getting about 1 frame every 7 seconds with alpha or focus blur enabled. Is this normal? I get around 30-40 FPS when using water on high settings. Would framebuffer_object support for the driver be of any use? Would it make things faster? Thanks in advance Sam

Incredible slow logon on Samba4 domain
Hi everyone, I am facing a major trouble with my Samba4 domain Just installed Samba 4.0.6 on Centos 6.4, using internal DNS, when I add an W7 client it is a little bit slow to join the domain, but when I login as as Samba user it takes over 15 minutes. is there any trick to get it faster? I am using an internal DNS server, but it hapens the same with Google or OpenDNS. My resolv.conf is pointing

dsync incredibly slow
Hi! While performing a dsync from cyrus imap to dovecot 2.2.12, dsync seems to stop for perhaps a minute without disk / cpu / memory activity (that I can see). This happens several times per sync per user so it takes an enormous amount of time to sync just a couple of gigs of mail. dsync -D -v -o mail_fsync=never mirror -f -R -u user at example.com imapc: What could possibly be the cause of

[LLVMdev] The Incredible Shrinking Bytecode File
Hi, I've just committed changes that enable bytecode compression in the various tools. This means that all bytecode files produced by LLVM will be significantly smaller. The performance penalty for compression and decompression has been determined to be small in the face of other work applied to the bytecode files. For example, compression/decompression added about 300 milliseconds of CPU

my file transfers are incredibly slow
My problem is there I download and archive my work to the freebsd server via samba. When I'm transfering files from the windows -> freebsd I will get anywhere between 20-100kB/s and from freebsd -> windows I will get a few mbps. I'm getting no where near a full 100mbps and both ethernet cards are set for 100mbps full duplex working great. I've tried increasing buffer sizes on

Incredibly slow Roaming Profiles
We've just set up an internal domain, and had a single XP Pro machine join without any difficulties. But we need this machine (and the other handful with it) to use Roaming Profiles, which is posing something of a speed issue. I have logged on, killed the 'You do not own the profile' tidbit, fixed up permissions, and finally gotten XP to read the profile from the SAMBA server

We really need more community involvement with GSoC
Anton let me know that while we're seeing some pretty good GSoC proposals (or at least quite good starting points), we're still really short on mentors. Please, everyone, consider if you have the expertise and could find the bandwidth to mentor a GSoC student. If so, contact Anton and he'll set you up. Second, if you cannot be a GSoC mentor, please help the GSoC proposals turn into

firefox is incredibly unstable
does anyone else have major probs with Firefox as installed on CentOS5? ever since the RPM for FF3 came out it has been crashing daily. Usually when I use Save As... or Browse... or anything else that brings up the Gnome file picker. After the crash I re-start then the file picker works for a while. Sometimes it just takes scrolling or click+drag an image or some other random action. BANG

changing variable naming rules in LLVM codebase
I want to reiterate the benefit that underscore_names would bring. To be clear it's not my favorite style, but it does have a very concrete advantage which is that we have a very large subproject already using it. it doesn't make sense to do a purely aesthetic move that not everyone is going to agree on anyway, when we could do one with actual tangible value. replace a value in a vector
OK, so this is a really stupid question and should be incredibly simple to do but I can't figure it out. So maybe someone would be so kind as to tell me. I have a vector of zeros and ones. I want to replace all of the zeros with "black" and all of the ones with "gray". That's it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Paul `-:-. ,-;"`-:-. ,-;"`-:-.
