2.2.3a connection failure from XP to 10.3.4
...lo from a neophyte! Is there a diagnostic programme which can be run to determine if there are any faults in Samba 2.2.3a? I cannot connect from Win XP to my rev/b iMac (suddenly, maybe 'upgrade' to 10.3.4 had some effect) and the smb crashlog (shown below) has a pile of stuff which is incomprehensible to me. Secondly, how does one upgrade to another version of Samba and is this done on the iMac or Win XP, or both? >************************************************************************************** Host Name: iMac.local Date/Time: 2004-07-03 16:31:42 +0100 OS Version: 10....

About "received" header when using Dovecot proxy
...ot as a proxy for another SMTP server. However, this seems to cause the IP address of the "received" header to be that of the proxy server. Is it possible to change this so that the IP address of the sender is entered? The version of Dovecot is "2.3.8 (9df20d2db)". Sorry for the incomprehensible explanation. Thank you. Best regards.

(no subject)
Good afternoon. Faced an incomprehensible problem in the work of Samba 4.4.5 and Samba 4.6.4 In the config I have the parameters: Directory mask = 0770 Force directory mode = 0770 Create mask = 0770 Force create mode = 0770 On systems starting from Windows XP and above, as well as with MacOS X 10.8 and higher, everything works right. But o...

How are R version types named ? Any convention (like Hurricanes etc)
...aster Beagle") R version 2.14.0 ("Great Pumpkin") Dear R help List, How are these version types named? Masked Marvel comes after Security Blanket comes after Trick or Treat comes after Roasted Marshmallows. Is it some convention like that for Hurricanes in the West. It is totally incomprehensible to me as I am in India. Questions about FLAC documentation
...ariable size field with the description "if(variable blocksize) \n <8-56> : 'UTF-8' coded sample number (decoded number is 36 bits)" and I find the encoding scheme is somehow alien (I can't figure out what it has to do with UTF-8) and it's two following fields to be incomprehensible. There doesn't seem to be any information indicating their purpose either. The location and coding of audio samples is very nebulous in that I don't know where they are or the specifics of how any of their encoding scheme work. More details, links to more information and maybe even some...

ISOdate returns incorrect date?
Dear all, I have found the following (for me) incomprehensible behaviour of ISOdate (POSIXct): > ISOdate(1900,6,16) [1] "1900-06-15 14:00:00 Westeurop?ische Sommerzeit" > ISOdate(1950,6,16) [1] "1950-06-16 14:00:00 Westeurop?ische Sommerzeit" Note that in the first case I get the 15th of June back, not the 16th as I would have expect...

EM unsupervised clustering
...use kmeans to find 2 or 3 clusters in this matrix k2 = kmeans(data, 2, 10000000) k3 = kmeans(data, 3, 10000000) but I would like to use something a bit more refined, so I though about a EM based clustering. I am using the Mclust() function from the mclust package, but I get the following (to me incomprehensible) error message: plot(Mclust(as.data.frame(data)), as.data.frame(data)) Hit <Return> to see next plot: Hit <Return> to see next plot: Hit <Return> to see next plot: Error in 1:L : NA/NaN argument In addition: Warning messages: 1: best model occurs at the min or max # of components...

does res_pjsip support ZRTP?
...es_pjsip not logged in. Analyzing the exchange of SIP packets I found a single difference: the format of the "nonce" field. When using a longer nonce (pjsip) this phone simply does not respond to the request packet authorization (as do many hardware and software encountering something incomprehensible). The same behavior was on the built-in nokia 95 SIP client. > >> - enable icesupport also leads to problems of registration and cannot be >> "common solution" > > icesupport is only applied to calls, what happens for registration? [LLVMdev] Any objections to my importing GoogleMock to go with GoogleTest in LLVM?
...ject decencies of LLVM. Is gmock written with more portability in mind than gtest? In my experience, bringing up a new platform for gtest is a huge amount of pain (unless the code has been improved recently - I last tried it about 18 months ago), because the code has very poor abstractions and an incomprehensible nest of #ifdefs for any platform-specific code, mostly testing the wrong thing. Being unable to get the test suite to run was the blocker for even starting to port some of the sanitizers that used gtest last time I tried. David

Outlier detection with the dprep library

Anyway, I couldn't get a single one of the dprep methods to work. They all gave me incomprehensible error messages (incomprehensible to me, at least). >robout(vrmat,1) Error in matrix(0, nrow, rep) : non-numeric matrix extent > >mahaout(vrmat,1) Error in cov.rob(tempo, method = "classical") : at least 2 cases are needed > >baysout(vrmat) Error in as.matrix(ou...

Keyboard map
Hi all, Does anybody know how to change the keyboard map in wine... I can't find any documentation on it... I checked in the ./wine/system.reg (something like that) file, and there was a keyboard entry with a 10 digit number after it - totally incomprehensible! I'm running BibleWorks 6 from a Windows partition (because it won't install under wine). The Windows partition and the Linux are both using correct keyboard maps - so wine is the problem. Most things map (letters, numbers) but special characters don't - which makes the software hard...

[FORGED] bootstrapping results in table format
...#39;t post in html. (2) Don't send code that makes use of packages that you don't mention (in this case "data.table"). (3) Don't use "data" as the name of a data object. There is a base function called "data" whence you run the risk of getting toadally incomprehensible error messages as the result of certain syntax errors. Also see fortune("dog"). cheers, Rolf Turner -- Technical Editor ANZJS Department of Statistics University of Auckland Phone: +64-9-373-7599 ext. 88276
