samba - CATIA V5
...hen stored using this mechanism, samba gives the
permission, based on the unix directory owner. Instead it should have
been the CATIA V5 user, who is writing this file.
Pl guide us how to overcome this problem.

Setting up a printer without having one
Hi folks! :-)
I am supposed to configure this fresh install of CentOS 5.5 to work
nicely with the HP 1010 printer, once it gets connected to the
computer (probably via usb, but I cannot be sure). The problem is that
I will not be anywhere near the machine when the printer actually gets
plugged in, and hp-setup refuses to do anything until that happens.
So how does one configure a

...on drive c of my workstation I'm getting the message '0 file(s) copied'. But
when I put just one single char in it it copies the file correctly.
In the mean time I'll try to saet various settings to find out what affects zero
length files.

locking "issue"
Dear list,
I personally think this is a non-issue, but I may be incorrect. If it is a
non issue I need to find a way to get some communication going on making it
evident to the devlopers of a software program.
I have strict locking = YES (which is by default set to NO) set
and I have been repeatedly told that there is a locking issue within SAMBA.
