Do you usually touch anything that requires tablegenning? A VC++ application compiled with debug settings is *much* slower that its release-mode incarnation.

Hi again JM, I hate to nit-pick, but it seems that the memory pointed to by the member "h1_mem" in the SBEncState structure is allocated, freed and initialized but never actually used.
