debug an error that incapacitates R?
Dear all
How should I attempt debugging this error?
> sosInit()
Error: invalid connection
When this happens R refuses to run anything:
> 2+2
Error: invalid connection
> sessionInfo ()
Error in stdout() : invalid connection
Debugging it seems impossible.
> options(error=recover)
> sosInit()
Error: invalid connection
Error during wrapup: invalid connection

Windows TAP Problems?
...tap device <device ID truncated>: (997)
Overlapped I/O operation is in progress"
A bit of googling doesn't reveal much except some possible intrusions by
a couple of recent Windows KB updates. Is this some glaring failure of
my own that I am just not seeing, or have the new updates incapacitated
tinc in one way or another?
Thanks!

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] [PATCH] A "very verbose" mode for FileCheck
...sides that, I suspect that most new uses of grep come from cargo
culting, so just giving them nothing to cargo cult is an easy and
mechanical way to avoid that part of the issue altogether (i.e. just
removing all uses of grep in the current tests). Also, removing `not`
and `count` from utils/ would incapacitate grep significantly w.r.t.
writing tests with it, discouraging its use and making people look for
a different way.
The cargo culting also points to a lack of adequate documentation
about how to add a new test (`HowToAddATest.rst`? You might be a good
person to write that ;)

Large requests break BackgrounDRb
Hello, I think I may have discovered a bug in BackgrounDRb. It seems that
when the data being requested is large (via send_request), say in the range of
64k+, it crashes or at least incapacitates BackgrounDRb.
For example, take these two workers:
class SmallWorker < BackgrounDRb::MetaWorker
set_worker_name :small_worker
set_no_auto_load(true)
attr_reader :payload
def create(args)
@payload = ''s '' * 512
end
end
class LargeWorker < BackgrounDRb::Meta...

samba sessions dying - NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
...ted and many of the same developers have been
involved in coding the .net application on each solution.
A more detailed account of the problem?.
The problem occurs on only one web server at a time (could be anyone)
, i.e. 5 windows servers are still happily accessing the same share
while 1 is?. incapacitated.
When the server can?t access the share?
* We?ve found that we can access the share using ip rather than host
name, i.e. \\123.34.45.56\share works but \\servername\share doesn?t
* On the rhel4 server we can use netstat to see the session between
rhel4-smb-server and win-2k8-client in ?ESTABLISH...
