Kickstart, inter repo dependencies errors for CentOS7 not for CentOS6
...arts files for CentOS6 and CentOS7. The CentOS6 kickstart works fine, but i've a dependency problem with the CentOS7 equivalent. starting smb services at bootup on x86 RH6.1
I am running RH6.1 on an x86 with 2.0.6 installed with an RPM. I am confused as to getting smb to start at bootup. It works fine if I start it manually (/etc/rc.d/init.d/smb start). I swear, the 5.2 installation had smb start at bootup, but I can't find the difference between the two. Is the answer 1 - edit the /etc/inetd.conf file (swat needed a line uncommented) 2 - edit the

network copy performance is poor (rsync) - debugging suggestions?
Hi, I do have two centos 6.6 servers. With a "performance optimized" rsync I get an speed of 15 - 20 MB/s The options I use are: rsync -aHAXxv --numeric-ids --progress -e "ssh -T -c arcfour -o Compression=no -x" If I copy files by smb to/from the servers I do get 60 - 80 MB/s, a dd (r/w) on the storages attached gives 90 MB/s on the 1Gbit ISCSI (Source Server) and up to

OpenSSH + Solaris + AFS ???
Hello *, sorry if i missed an article which already solves my problem. I need a working configuration of OpenSSH for Solaris 7 (SunOS 5.7) with AFS support. PAM support to use the AFS PAm module `pam_afs.so' and TCP-Wrapper support would be nice. It would be nice to have similar configurations for Solaris 6 (SunOS 5.6), Solaris 8 (SunOS 5.8) and Solaris 2.5.1. I have tested a few

Authentication issue
Hi, I need to set up a weird dovecot configuration: 1) outside a ssl tunnel I'd like to authenticate only with cram-md5 scheme 2) inside a ssl tunnel I'd like to authenticate only with plain auth The first is easily satisfied with auth_mechanisms = plain cram-md5 disable_plaintext_auth = yes but I don't know how to satisfy the second condition, if it's possible. Thanks for

Master user
Hi, I'd like to have a master user that can read the other users mailboxes. I have only one user who read and write the mail (i.e. I use the static userdb) and I use namespace for public and shared mailboxes. I can authenticate to the server but I am not able to list the mailboxes: > emiliano at dovecot:~$ telnet localhost imap > Trying 127.0.0.1... > Connected to localhost. >

Share mounts in SMBv1 mode, but fails weirdly in SMBv2 mode
Hi, We're slowly deprecating SMBv1 support at work, so I'm trying to mount our Samba network shares using SMBv2.0. This should in principle be supported by the server, and seems works well enough for the Windows clients. But it fails for me with some errors which I do not understand. Can you help me figure out what's going on? Here's my system configuration and a quick
