restrict listeners to specific countries
These links don't suggest wildcards can be used, but I found the following
which may be workable if I install perl on the web server.

non latin1 streaming
Hello, I searched through the archives and found a suggestion for a
cyrillic DJ to put the following in icecast.xml:
<mount>
<mount-name>/mountnamehere</mount-name>
<charset>UTF-8</charset>
</mount>
This was to resolve his problem of displaying cyrillic characters on both
the status page and presumably on to listeners/players
My problem is that ocassionally

I've not made any more progress on correcting this. In the icecast log files I see
the non latin characters showing up as they should, but on the player end and on
the icecast status page, these show up as mixed numeric/alpha codes.
I found discussions on this topic here:

And this announcement addressing 'charset' here:

IE, flash and icecast
I'm having trouble getting an IE client to hear mp3 streams through a
flash player. It appears to be the same problem as described at
http://icecast.imux.net/viewtopic.php?t=2039 - the flash player connects
to the icecast server and begins downloading the audio data, but never
actually plays it.
I've tried all the suggestions from that thread - I patched icecast so
that the Content-length is larger (tried all the suggested values -

You should consider getting a server at a data center which provide ddos
mitigation, I know that OVH’s mitigation is quite good.

Stream Control
I apologize if this is a neophyte question.
I am running icecast2 and ices0.3 (mp3 serving) off of Suse Linux. Is there a way I can set it up so that I can control the stream (i.e. skip a song or repeat a song)?

RV: Info
Great, just looking to confirm that there is no "official" support site;
Has anyone one tried using digital rapids hardware(cards appliances) to feed
live video / audio to an icecast server?
Thanks for any feedback!
Regards,
Ben.

Access Log Time Issue
I am having an issue with access.log. The listen time is way too large. I
am getting lines such as:
10.120.34.31 - - [29/Sep/2014:00:12:03 -0400] "GET /music HTTP/1.1" 200
8827 "(null)" "-" 16099200
16099200 is way too large for a listen time. I am using Icecast 2.4.0 on
Windows Server 2012 R2.Does anyone know why this is happening?
Thanks,
Drew
