scratchy sound
...rmine the possible cause of this kind of distortion. Maybe an expert ear can give me a clue. It shouldn't be the Asterisk server's CPU usage. Could it be a network issue between the Asterisk system and the SIP client? (it happens with SIP hardphones as well as softphones so I guess it's improbable it's the client software/firmware) Both softphones and hardphones use GSM and usually work fine (this kind of issue is not too frequent). The LAN isn't dedicated to voice but has QoS prioritizing VoIP. Could the cause of the distortion be network-related? And only on "my" side? S...

[PATCH 1/5] Skip timer works.patch
...h probes for some very unusual and broken motherboard routings. It fires 100% of the time when using a paravirtual delay mechanism instead of using a realtime delay, since there is no elapsed real time, and the 4 timer IRQs have not yet been delivered. In addition, it is entirely possible, though improbable, that this bug could surface on real hardware which picks a particularly bad time to enter SMM mode, causing a long latency during one of the timer IRQs. While here, make check_timer be __init. Signed-off-by: Zachary Amsden <zach@vmware.com> ================================================...

Where is clustat
I thought I've installed the clustering tools, but when I attempt to run clustat, it says it doesn't exist. When I installed the suite, I ran: yum install -y GFS GFS-kernel-smp magma-plugins fence dlm dlm-kernel-smp gulm cman cman-kernel-smp CCSD is running and when I "cat /proc/cluster/nodes", I see my three nodes. Does anyone see the package that I missed for

Centos 5 where is rndc.conf and named.conf?
In /var/named/chroot/etc there is no rndc.conf or named.conf. Where are they? Webmin built a named.conf, but it is missing many of the 'default' entries. And it did not set up the symbolic link to /etc I am trying to follow instructions at: http://www.wains.be/index.php/2007/02/04/centos-chroot-dns-with-bind/

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Stripping unusable intrinsics
This seems to indicate that the idea is a workable solution to your use case. We've still got some bikesheds to get through. (And I don't consider myself a good reviewer for Clang in this, so we need to identify who is.) As background to this extension idea, let me say that I prefer the notion that developers, particularly perf-aware developers like gamedevs, will want to handle PGO via

what actually uses xdr_mem.c?
In regards to FreeBSD-SA-03:05.xdr, does anyone know which static binaries or tools under /bin or /sbin actually use that problem code? The recent XDR fixes the xdrmem_getlong_aligned(), xdrmem_putlong_aligned(), xdrmem_getlong_unaligned(), xdrmem_putlong_unaligned(), xdrmem_getbytes(), and/or xdrmem_putbytes() functions, but it is difficult to know what uses these (going backwards manually).

ntop from rpmforge
I don't know why I haven't signed up for this list before since we use CentOS all over the place. The list is very useful and it is good for me to participate and "give back" to the community. Anywho, I wanted to post this response to a thread that was created back in November 2008 about the ntop daemon failing to start. I'm currently setting up ntop as a NetFlow &

Removing old kernels
I have the following kernels on my /boot: 2.6.18-128.1.6 2.6.18-92.1.18 2.6.18-92.1.22 I'm low on /boot space and need to remove the oldest version. It appears that I cannot use yum to remove since all of the versions are the same (only the release is different). I believe that I can use rpm to remove the old version, but I also need to remove them from the grub.conf. Any other
