a single nfs file system shared out twice with different permissions
I am trying to configure a system where I have two different NFS shares which point to the same directory. The idea is if you come in via one path, you will have read-only access and can''t delete any files, if you come in the 2nd path, then you will have read/write access. For example, create the read/write nfs share: zfs create tank/snapshots zfs set sharenfs=on tank/snapshots root

simple table ordering question
Hi all, I'm sure this is simple but I don't get it. I have a table mytable<-c(rep("Disagree",37),rep("Agree",64)) table(mytable) this gives me Agree Disagree 64 37 but I didn't ask for it to be in alphabetic order. How can I get it in original order? Disagree Agree 37 64 Thanks, Jeff Jeffrey. M. Miller, PhD

"Complex?" import of pdf files (criminal records) into R table
Hi there, I'm facing the decision if it would be possible to transform several more or less complex pdf files into an R Table-Format or if it has to be done manually. I think it would be a impudent to expect a complete solution, but I would be grateful if anyone could give me an advice on how the structure of such a R-program could look like, and if it's possible in general. Here

...\ --with-ldflags=-L/usr/freeware/lib32 \ --with-cflags=-I/usr/freeware/include If you don't tweak those flags it won't compile. OpenSSH rocks! :o) -- Florin Andrei "In theory, under the new computer security law, anyone whose computer was infected by Nimda/CodeRed could be imprisoned for life -- the new law says nothing about intent. So, basically we would have a few million Microsoft Windows users serving life sentences..." - Dan Hollis

Dovecot Wiki: Please disable edit on double click
Hi Aki, could you maybe disable the 'edit on doubleclick' feature on wiki2.dovecot.org? Everytime I try to select a word by double clicking on it, I end up in editing mode. It's just a minor thing, but maybe I'm not the only one who's annoyed by this ;) Thanks! Michael

inode limit ?
Hello, I'm using a defualt everything install of 7.2 (kernel 2.4.7-10 #1) with a 27 gig ext3 / partition. The problem that I am experiencing is this: If I create more than (about) 3.5 million distinct files on the partition, touch, mkdir, cp and all other file creation methods complain that there is no available space on the disk. A df shows me that the partition is only 65% full.

What's the best way to convert a whole set of file systems?
I am currently running a Windows XP system at home with around 100+ Mb in use over ~400Mb of NTFS file systems. I am installing CentOS 4.4 on it when I change out the mobo/cpu/mem/video combo I just bought. I want to convert all the file systems to (probably) Reiserfs or maybe ext3, but I need to do them one at a time because I only have enough transfer space to accommodate the largest one, or

R Newsletter: 1st Call for Articles
Hi, Kurt Hornik and I will start to publish a quarterly electronic ``R Newsletter'' beginning with January 2001 (if all goes well). For Whom the Gaza Bell Tolls -- Part 1 and 2 -- Obama’s Mideast Jewish Wet Dream Team
...gees who were ordered from their homes by the Israelis in 2006 then slaughtered by an Israeli helicopter crew; the 1,000 dead of that same 2006 bombardment and Lebanese invasion, almost all of them civilians? This time around, Israel shows not the slightest compunction about brazenly massacring an imprisoned population in front of the world. But why should they? They know no real opposition will arise from power centers anywhere on earth. And they continue to have America ? Republicans, Democrats, Christian Zionists and almost everybody else ? in their thrall. In large part, this is due to what Israel...
