como pasar de data.frame -> cast -> data.frame
Toda sugerencia sera muy apreciada Slds cordiales, Eric Concha M. pd. adjunto los datos x si quieren jugar con ellos -- Forest Engineer Master in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics Ph.D. student in Sciences of Natural Resources a...

[LLVMdev] RFC: I plan to remove the autoconf and Makefile build of LLD
...latforms (and often quite wide ranges of versions). We are building integrated toolchains with a bunch of components from several sources (including internal and client-provided). It is expected by some of our clients that these will be supportable for possibly years to come. It's completely impracticable to support that kind of arrangement with an array of different host boxen with a second array of configurations; ergo our usual use-case is cross (or, in some cases, "canadian") builds. Perhaps not surprisingly, we have a significant system to handle build, test, QA and release of these...

Java Installation HowTo kickoff (JDK 1.4.2, 1.5 and 1.6)
...by now), but doesn't integrate so good like IBM JDK's generated RPMs. The BEA's JPackage nosrcs are so much out-of-date. Would there be a reason for JPackage's people forgetting about BEA JRockit? I would like to offer an updated process to install BEA JRockit via RPM, but it seems impracticable now. Maybe I'm completely wrong - it seems like JRockit R27.1.0 installation is graphical nowdays, so would it be useful to make it an RPM? Any help is appreciated. I'd like to have a space in the CentOS Wiki, and then make corrections based on mailing-list feedback, then a volunteer to ed...

...o both Miroslav and Josh for their help with that question, and a long overdue thanks to Kerry Hoath for assistance with my batch file question some months back. I never shared the eventual solution to that because it is completely dependent on using Lemmy (a vi-imitation for Windows) and thus impracticable for most people on this list.

MCMC validity question
...function f: In the first step, I know what x is (or even don't know that, might again just be from a distribution). From that step on, I have only a Poisson-distribution, and lack the concrete realization; all I know is a pure minimum value. In general f is not a simply thing, and is quite impracticable to input a distribution itself; moreover, because of the inflation of variance, the output could not be treated as lambda of a Poisson-distribution any more. So the Poisson-distribution is lost, although physical knowledge tells you it really is (and would be, were it x was known precisely). T...

Beginner plot and map questions
Hi, I have not been able to find answers to these questions in the FAQs, manuals, or R-help archives. If answers are available somewhere, please direct me to them. 1.) Is there a way to convert a table (e.g. represented as a data frame) to a function, specifying which columns are input and which column is output? It would seem that this would be useful for plotting experimental results,

can compression be safely used with SSH?
Hello. At work we collect logs (via ssh) from all kinds of hosts on one central node which has no connection to the internet and is tried to kept secure. The idea is, as you can imagine, that in case of a compromise we'd have at least all the logs up to the break without any forgeries. The logging is done continuously and compression is used. Now the following is not really that much

¿Qué hace as.numeric()?
