Can't get 'root preexec' to run
On a Windows domain member client in the ADUC console, you specifiy the home dir path that is to be used on Windows machines on the "Profile" tab. As soon as you click 'Ok' (or 'Apply' for that matter), the folder is created (by the DC via your domain admin account) on the Samba server hosting the share the path you provided leads to. Try it, its nice an simple.

Directories turned to sockets
...had turned to sockets wich fsck does not seem to fix. All the affected folders(sockets) have the following attributes srwxr-xr-x 32770 2147516917 2147516917 2147520512 and they all report the same size of 1073758212 (1.1T). Does anyone have an explanation as to how this could happen and more importandly is there a way to reverse this ? My system is Mandrake 10 with kernel 2.6.3-8mdk, if you need more info then just ask. How to backup maildir
I have been thinking, and reading, on how to back up my mailserver. I have not found any approach that seems ready to use. I have run years without any backup, but would really like to have something in place.? I figure I can attach a USB drive and backup to that, then from there rsync to something elsewhere.? Further if that USB drive is a full mailserver image, I actually have a 'hot

Convert plugin
Hi, I'm trying to convert users from a sendmail server to a postfix/dovecot server. All works fine but one of the last things is to rescue the messages in /var/mail/<user> on the old server. This seems very straitforward using the convert plugin but with the settings from the wiki, nothing happens when the user logs in. Do I need a private namespace for this as suggested elsewhere
