django like admin interface
Hi,
I am building an application where i need to have an admin interface
from where the admin can assign permission for different methods
(create, edit etc.) in controller based on roles . It should be similar
to django administration, where we can assign permission on methods
based on the role.
How can i do the implementaton ? Can anybody give me some pointers on
how to start ?
Thanks and

Bug: time complexity of substring is quadratic
...in 1:100) r<-paste(rep("A",N),collapse=""))
user system elapsed
0.318 0.071 0.388
> system.time(for (i in 1:10) x<-substring(r,1:N,1:N))
user system elapsed
0.041 0.000 0.041
Some of this may be due to pqR's faster garbage collector - R Core
implementatons have a particular GC problem with strings, as explained at
https://radfordneal.wordpress.com/2018/11/29/faster-garbage-collection-in-pqr/
But there are also some specific improvements to string operations that
you might want to have a look at.

tftp server with mysql backend
Are there any open source efforts ( I haven't found any) that have a tftp
server with a mysql backend? I'd like an incoming pxelinux request to
give the tftp server the mac address, and then it performs a query to find
out which configuration file it should get. Of course it would be great
if some day tftp-hpa would integrate with libmysql..
Thanks,
James

Revert to R 3.2.x code of logicalSubscript in subscript.c?
Suharto,
If you're interested in performance with subscripting, you might want
to look at pqR (pqR-project.org). It has some substantial performance
improvements for subscripting over R Core versions. This is
especially true for the current development version of pqR (probably
leading to a new release in about a month).
You can look at a somewhat-stable snapshot of recent pqR development

Understanding Problem with rsa min key length 1024
Hello,
Sometime ago min rsa key length was increased to 1024 bit and i have a
little understanding problem with this.
I hope somebody with some crypto-experience can enlighten me. To make
that clear, that is not about allowing lower keys in general.
Personally i would tend to use even longer keys(2048bit+).
However Due nature of RSA-algorithm in case of 1024bit this might result
in a key
