SIP URI set 'telephone-context='
Hi all, I am currently using asterisk 11, and I am trying to figure out how
to set the uri parameter telephone-context.
I need to set it for outbound calls for a specific carrier when making
emergency calls and don't seem able to find the option to set it.

Any way to over-ride the "-q" option to debug a possible race condition?
I have a slightly complicated question. I am using an mpi application
(Intel impi) which uses ssh to launch applications. For about 0.1-0.2%
of the ssh connections I end up with a zombie, i.e. ps will show [ssh]
<defunct>. Something is going wrong with the ssh when it starts,
perhaps a race condition, it is not disconnecting after some time,
that I have been able to verify...

Interesting admin info: ipmitool
I've used ipmitool any number of times, but never for more than getting
info, or setting the server name on a Dell LCD screen. However, I had a
server screaming about intruder alert, intruder alert, er, "Chassis
intrusion detected", and I thought there might be a way to shut it up
(this after pulling the server and reseating the lid). A quick google
found, on the first page, an 8

Kickstart ksdevice question
...syz was a
"good idea", but for 99% of us, I look at the back of a system, and I want
to know which one. the enxyz is significantly less than useful.
Now, if only there were some tool, like there used to be HERD, to figure
out on my supermicro which DIMM is complaining.... You'd think IMPI would
do it, but nooooo....

Is there socksify script for dynamics forwardings to unix domain sockets?
...though it is semi-documented for -L and -R).
Do you know of any "socksification" script to go along with it, in the spirit
of tsocks of socksify (from dante)? Those do not seem to support socks
servers running on unix domain sockets.
My ultimate goal is to use a web browser and various impi-utilities socksified
so I can access a management network behind a login host that itself is
accessible via ssh. Those tools only support IP-based SOCKS-servers at best.
And I'd like to not have an open SOCKS-server running on localhost, if
possible.

Urls generated by nested map.resources
Hi,
Apologies if this has been answered before.
I have just started to try out the new RESTful routes. For resources
that aren''t related to anything else, everything makes sense - for
resources with relationships, I am less certain of what the "right"
thing to do - especially in relation to the urls produced, and how to
modify those urls.
For example, if I have teams and

User has many topics or subtopics
Hi,
So i have users in the system and i have topics. Topics also
have_many subtopics. What is the cleanest way to setup the AR
relationships if a user can either have_many topics or subtopics ?
Its basically a dual select box dropdown, where the second dropdown is
optional.
Is the best to have user_topics, and user_subtopics tables and manage
that way ? or combine into one table with STI

What means "Planar Temp"? And why "Temp" and "Temp Interface" params

If I can't get temperatures using lm-sensors or OpenIPMI, what
utility is available for Linux? thanks!!

securing a remotely hosted machine
...cally encrypted disk
- plumb in a bios password
- have all console redirected to a iLo / drac / ipmi2 device; if there
is one of those - if not then redirect the output to a non-existing
ttySX port ( isnt ideal! )
- disable all telnet and http/https access to the ilo / drac interfaces,
ensure impi is secured.
What other, reasonable, steps should one consider ?
the end result, ofcourse, is to still have the option of handing
passwords etc to the DC ops should there be a need to actually work on
the machine remotely. so removing the keyb and display interfaces might
not be desirable.

my notes on bond, bridge, network, kvm, host and virtual so far
I put this page together just so I won't spam the board anymore begging
for help..lol
http://bobhoffman.com/vmissue.html
This shows a working effort of bonded eths, bridged into a vm, and a few
other things.
The only missing thing is something on the host that ends up putting the
VM internet
connection into some kind of limbo.

IPMI in Libvirt
Greetings all,
I am looking for a solution to use IPMI (BMC) in with LibVirt (Virt-Manager). Actually there is a Customer behind this request as well.
Trying to be short: We are looking for a Solution in OpenStack Environment. Customer wants to have the entire environment running in Virt-Manager (probably for a P.O.C or tests purposes). So here is what he is trying to do: http://red.ht/1HfNn9r

load balancing 20 asterisk servers
I've read several other emails and pages on the wiki but none give any
deffinate answers. if you have 20 asterisk servers each with 4 pri's, all
running RealTime Extensions and RealTime SIPBuddies from the same MySQL
server, what prevents you from putting all 20 servers behind a single load
balancer? That way all of your UA's can use the same IP to register to; vs

Kickstart ksdevice question
This should be easy to answer (I hope).? We routinely kickstart boxes to
use for managing our customers RADIUS/DHCP configurations (along with
other things).? We've had a C7 kickstart in place since I built one in
May and are finally starting to roll it out for new installations.? But,
I'm curious as to what ksdevice= actually does.
With the C6 we routinely used ksdevice=eth0 since we
