BackgrounDRb New release.
Howdy Folks-
I''m happy to announce a new release of BackgrounDRb! I have added
quite a few new features and included some nice patches from folks on
the list.
$ script/plugin install svn://rubyforge.org//var/svn/backgroundrb
All of the code now stays within the plugin and the start and stop
scripts are now just stubs. This makes it easier to tweak or figure
out how it works.

Wine 1.3( Battle of the Immortals)
I'm pretty new to Wine and Xubuntu, and one of the main reasons I downloaded Wine was to properly run Battle of the Immortals. Im sure it was confirmed playable with Wine but every time i try to open the launcher it patches, and opens pretty normal but the login screen and probably the game also ( never got past the loading screen) suffers from unbearable lag and frame problems. Im pretty sure its a simple issue in whi...

immortal connections
I have several data input functions that include a construct like
the following:
indat <- function(stuff) {
[...]
awkp <- paste("awk ...yada yada...", stuff, etc.)
scan(pipe(awkp),quiet=TRUE)
}
I use these functions a lot, and as I do, a lengthening list of
closed, but undestroyed, connections accumulates. Ultimately this
appears to stuff things up and cause

Multi-Threading Compilers
...thing else could end up having uses from multiple functions
and/or initializers of globals. DerivedUser seems particularly special
-- but it's only used by MemorySSA, and that appears to be
function-local?
Of the values that can have global references to them, I believe that
most could just be immortal and without use lists. I'd say this
applies to:
- InlineAsm
- MetadataAsValue
- Constant other than GlobalValue
This leaves as values with global references that _cannot_ be immortal:
- GlobalValue (+ children)
- BasicBlock
And values that will have use lists, and only local references are:...

it must have in "Domain/Realm" the external IP

Req: Workers as singletons
Hi,
it would be nice to be able to specify workers as singletons. By this
I mean that every call to the new_worker method returns the same
instance of said worker. This can be done transparently either by
adding a new argument to new_worker (something like :singleton =>
true) or adding a new method, like I did in my installation of
BackgrounDrb:
def get_worker_by_class(klass)

It's true that both HTML and Wiki tend to become out-dated if no one
maintains it and a blog post is outdated by definition, but explicitly
done so (dated).
I agree that blog posts are good to convey decisions made, but would
be good to have it immortalized somewhere (HTML or Wiki).

Can I simply add

And does redirect imply stop, since I don;?t see stop in the example.

[PATCH]ocfs2-1.2: Add dput for uuid entry.
In ocfs2-1.2, when we mount a device, a debugfs dir will be created
using its uuid. When 2 devices have the same uuid, after the 1st device
is mounted, the 2nd one can't be mounted. This is OK. But the problem is
that the dentry's reference is added. So when the 1st volume is
umounted, none of these 2 volumes can be mounted then. So this fix
solves this problem by dputting the
