Fwd: Re: 2.2 release imminent.
Okay, I sent this a while back, and the current source still exhibits all the previous errors. Is there a chance this can be fixed? Even fixing the check for dn_expand in resolv.so would help ... Last call: 0.24.0 is imminent
I''ve now fixed all of the bugs I''m going to fix for 0.24.0/misspiggy. Please test that the current ''master'' branch in git works for you. I''ll probably release tomorrow, or maybe early on Thursday if I don''t hear of any show-stoppers. -- I don''t want any yes-men around me. I want everybody to tell me the truth even if it

2.2 release imminent.
Well, as Andrew shouted at me again this weekend it's getting to be about that time.... :-) :-). Yep, we're thinking we should do an official 2.2 Samba release early next week, so if you have anything you can't live with, now would be a good time to tell us.... :-). It's been gestating longer than an elephant, so it's really time to let it out into the world and do its own

[LLVMdev] Should I commit "IR: Move MDLocation into place" before or after 3.6 branch?
I just finished the work for PR21433. I think it's relatively low risk, but it does change assembly output. Should I commit this before or after the (imminent) 3.6 branch? (I would have committed it tonight, but the buildbots are fairly red, and I prefer to break out-of-tree code in the morning anyway.) -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... [RFC] Removing autoconf from trunk
Now that 3.8 is imminently branching with the newly deprecated autoconf I think it is time to propose a process and timeline for removing autoconf support from trunk. At this point I believe there should be no users of autoconf for Clang and LLVM that are not supported by CMake, so I would like to propose dropping autoconf support from the cfe and llvm repositories on January 26th (two weeks from

Lua Auth
Just happened to be surfing the docs and saw this. This is beyond awesome: https://wiki2.dovecot.org/AuthDatabase/Lua Any words of wisdom on using it? I'd be putting a bunch of mysql logic in it. Any horrible gotchas there? When it says 'blocking', should I assume that means that a auth worker process will *not* accept any new auth lookups until both auth_passdb_lookup() and

Fail2ban
I have fail2ban working for EVERYTHING else except dovecot. I have tried using my own custom regex in conjunction with the regex on the dovecot.org site. Neither are picked up by fail2ban and I'm trying to use an imminent attack agaist dovecot, going on now, to my advantage to see when I get the right regexp. Here are my current ones: failregex = .*dovecot: (?:pop3-login|imap-login):
