Ld64.lld cannot find Foundation framework
James, many thanks. Is there any linker available for Macs that has a freely available binary version? I thought maybe that GNU’s linker might fit the bill? I cannot use Apple’s linker from /usr/bin/ as it is not allowed to make external calls from a sandboxed app. Hence my interest in the LLVM lld. > On 7 May 2020, at 19:21, James Y Knight <jyknight at google.com> wrote: > > On

How to change OS Wine is imitating?
I've heard that you can change the operating system that Wine is...I don't know, replicating? Whatever. It seems that everyone knows except for me, and I can't find a simple explanation anywhere. Does it have something to do with the registry editor thing? I really need some help.

issue with sip 180 responses
Hello, SIP invites are accepted from imitator , but 'SIP 180' is not responded back to imitator. By inspecting the issue , we can *see* the response is generated and sent from asterisk (via asterisk logger ("sip debug" )) , but while sniffing the interface with tcpdump, we can't see 180 response on the interface. We don't have errors on the interface, firewall

2GB limit in Samba?
Hi. Is there such a limit to 2GB in samba 2.2.8a-1? I get a "File imit exceeded" when I try to tar or cp smth to a smbmount. On both machines I can successfully do dd if=/dev/zero and create a file of 3GB, I can also tar -cvf it but no cp to smb. RH8 if it matters...

Stub / Mock - A little guidance?
Hi there, I''m still trying to wrap my head around when to use a stub and a mock. If I understand this right, I should be using a ''mock'' when imitating an object, but not its behavior. I should be using a stub when I want to imitate the behavior of an object. Does that sound about right? With that said, I''m struggling a little trying to spec out this instance

access to file system through web browser
Hi. I am trying to find "something" (php prefered) that I can stick onto a Centos apache server that would allow me to browse a selected file system by employees through a web-browser "explorer like" interface. I know I can do this through WinSCP (and have done so), but my problem is I have Linux, Windows and MAC clients and my knowledge of MAC's is rather limited. I

Fwd: Wanted to learn R Language
Hello all , I am a SAS user for a while and wanted to learn to program in R . My biggest hurdle to start, is to get the data (I work in clinical domain ) that too inside VPN secured access. The only way I can learn during my work time is create my own data frames and create programs that can be used for data ( either SDTM or AdAM data ) validation or checking Table counts . For this I need to

How do I overlay two trellis plots of lme fitted lines produced by plot.augPred?
Hello, I want to use lme to fit two (or more) models, and then compare the fits on each individual. I know how to write my own code to do this (for each individual, plot the raw data, followed by lines() to plot each fitted curve) but I would like to use plot(augPred(... as it produces a nice trellis plot. I thought I could do this with par(new=T) but it does not seem to work.

[PATCH] virtio-blk: Don't free ida when disk is in use
When a file system is mounted on a virtio-blk disk, we then remove it and then reattach it, the reattached disk gets the same disk name and ids as the hot removed one. This leads to very nasty effects - mostly rendering the newly attached device completely unusable. Trying what happens when I do the same thing with a USB device, I saw that the sd node simply doesn't get free'd when a

IAX2 trunks unreliable becoming UNREACHABLE after a time
I have a network of offices using Asterisk that are connected via IAX2 trunks. The trunks work great for a day or two then for no reason at all one end of the trunk will become UNREACHABLE while the other end is still connected. The only way to fix the problem is to shutdown Asterisk completly then start it backup again. The end that dies is not always the same, some times it is server A and some

[PATCH 00/05] Mending for mkdiskimage
Hi, following is a series of patches derived from my proposed diff. Based on syslinux-6.03-pre1, but should also apply down to 4.xx. I hope to have imitated the changelog style sufficiently. Mine are a bit longer than usual with patches in the archive, i fear. Instructions for the future are welcome. Each intermediate state is tested for its designated purpose only. The final state after

Customer complains of noise on line I cannot reproduce.
I have setup a few Asterisk systems for customers using Digium TDM400 cards and Aastra phones. No problems with sound quality at all except at this one site. Every time I try their system I don't hear any problems but they tell me that it is really bad. They describe it a a loud scratching sound. Are there any tests that can be done to pinpoint the problem? Has anyone seen this before? Are

Wine on Windows 7
For some time now I have been researching the upcoming Windows 7, scheduled for release in 2009 - 2010. Recently, a number of websites have stated that Microsoft is no longer including backwards compatibility with software from previous versions of Windows. From the number of sites, I'm guessing this is not just a rumor. And considering the almost infinitely massive list of Windows programs

Ld64.lld cannot find Foundation framework
Thanks for your reply. Two questions: 1). Will ld64.lld be fixed in LLVM v11.0 and when is this likely to be? 2). You mention Apple’s linker, by which I assume you mean GNU’s ld. Is it possible to get a binary version of ld (preferably that does not use other things from /usr/bin)? Thanks > On 7 May 2020, at 12:26, James Y Knight <jyknight at google.com> wrote: > > The MachO

[LLVMdev] Sorting relocation entries
What would be the best way to sort relocation entries before they are written out in ELFObjectWriter::WriteRelocationsFragment? According to the Mips ABI documents I have, there are certain restrictions on the order relocations appear in the table (e.g. R_MIPS_HI16 and R_MIPS_GOT16 must be followed immediately by a R_MIPS_LO16). When I enable post RA scheduling, some of the restrictions are
