Isolinux CD to Hard drive
Hi,
I've been using Isolinux Boot CD for a while now and it's working great. This weekend, I decided to install it on my hard drive so I can boot Isolinux of the Hard drive. I used the famous command : "syslinux -s c:" to initialize the drive then I copied all the .img file to that drive. Then I renamed the "isolinux.cfg" to "syslinux.cfg" to get to my

script.aculo.us: pause before effect.appear
I''ve created a simple script (below) which calls the effect.appear script in
order to make a group of items appear at the page load. I would like to have
the images randomly appear at different times; e.g. the 3rd image might
start appearing 2 seconds after load, the 6th image immediately after load,
the first image 1 second after load, etc...
How can I achieve this affect?

How is initrd.img packed and compressed?
Hi,
In order to work around a known upstream bug I needed to add a udev
rule to pxeboot initrd.img on CentOS 7.
The process is straightforward:
1 - extract the pxeboot initrd.img to a new directory
2 - add the udev rule needed to fix the bug
3 - pack and compress it back in initrd.img format
The resulting updated image works, it fixes the upstream bug and life
is good. But although it works,

[PATCH 1/3] tests: specify the image format when possible
When possible, make the disk image format explicit when invoking tools
or using add-drive. This avoids warnings from qemu about the unspecified
format for the image, and also makes qemu slightly faster (skipping the
disk image probing).
Tests checking the image probing are not touched.
This changes also:
- old-style invocations of tools (`$tool $filename`) into new style
(`$tool -a $filename`)

[PATCH] v2v: Optimize convert for images with small holes
"qemu-img convert" detects zeroes in allocated areas and punch holes in
the destination image. This may save space on the destination image, but
slows down conversion when using outputs such as rhv-upload, which have
very large overhead per requests.
Using the -S flag, we can treat small areas filled with zeroes as data,
limiting the number of requests, and speeding the operation.

At least the ISO will then have MBR, GPT and APM entries for the file

I did that, and also tried the xorriso command you posted.
I uploaded both ISO images on http://slint.fr/misc/MacBoot resp. renamed:
