tools::checkRd() output different from R CMD check
Hello, When running tools::checkRd() on a single .Rd file, should I expect the output to be the same as that generated by R CMD check when it checks .Rd files? R CMD check finds the following warning: * checking Rd \usage sections ... WARNING > Assignments in \usage in documentation object 'ilm': > result <- ilm(celfiles, threshold = 350, satLim = 10000) > Functions with

Help with basic configuration
I followed the information from the wiki here is my dovecot.conf file and yet I can't get pop3 working. I need this to listen on pop3 for an internal process but get email from smtp sources. So I would like to have sendmail receive email from the world to a specific email address then check the mailbox via a POP3 internal process. Any help would be great. [root at CRM-ILM-CC-A etc]#

rearrange problem
Hi All, I am trying to rearrange alphabetically each element in a character vector. ex: say the first element in the vector is "cba", and my goal is to turn it into "abc". The suggested function to use is sort(). But it turns out that sort doesn't work at the level of element. So I am wondering that if there is an alternative function for this purpose. Please help me out .

GPFS for mail-storage (Was: Re: Compressing existing maildirs)
Great information, thank you. Could you remark on GPFS services hosting mail storage over a WAN between two geographically separated data centers? ----- Reply message ----- From: "Jan-Frode Myklebust" <janfrode at tanso.net> To: "Stan Hoeppner" <stan at hardwarefreak.com> Cc: "Timo Sirainen" <tss at iki.fi>, <dovecot at dovecot.org> Subject:

Services not required?
I''m in the process of locking down as much of my systems here as possible as to available ports. I am down to only a handful but am not sure how much of a security risk they pose and was wondering if anyone here might be able to comment, or suggest secure versions to run: 21/FTP (WU-ftpd v2.4.2 BETA 14) 22/SSH (1.22) 23/TELNET (Netkit 0.09) 25/SMTP (Sendmail

Big JBOD: what would you do?
ZFS fans, I''m preparing some analyses on RAS for large JBOD systems such as the Sun Fire X4500 (aka Thumper). Since there are zillions of possible permutations, I need to limit the analyses to some common or desirable scenarios. Naturally, I''d like your opinions. I''ve already got a few scenarios in analysis, and I don''t want to spoil the brain storming, so

t.test in a loop
Hi All, I've been having a little trouble with creating a loop that will run a a series of t.tests for inspection, Below is the code i've tried, and some checks i've looked at. I've used the get(paste()) idea as i was told previously that the use of the eval should try and be avoided. I've run a single syntax to check that my systax is correct and works without any problems

[PATCH] Update the 5 year logo to 10 year logo
Already outdated, but rounded ;) I literally just opened the 5yrs logo, changed the text and then done: inkscape -z -o logo/fish-10yrs.{png,svg} cp {logo,website}/fish-10yrs.svg and then updated the rest of the files. Signed-off-by: Martin Kletzander <mkletzan@redhat.com> --- Makefile.am | 2 + logo/fish-10yrs.png | Bin 0 -> 65790 bytes logo/fish-10yrs.svg |

Is it possible to prompt for/pass input from console to PXElinux/sysllinux kernel?
Synopsis: I need to duplicate functionality of the SuSE 9.x boot CD, via pxelinux. I haven't been able to get one feature of the boot CD to work, passing the 'hostname=' parameter to the kernel before booting it. In order to have new deployments register their hostname at the time they request a DHCP address (during initial install) I need to pass this from the local console,

Consistent but intermittent DHCP problems after pxelinux loads kernel.
Question, testing the waters to see if anyone has input on this. My summary belief is that I'm seeing a problem with the PXE bios code causing this issue. I'm trying to find out what else I can do to confirm that, and rule out pxelinux/. I'd like to get a confirmation that the use of pxelinux isn't a factor, as I'm not using 'keeppxe'. I'm rolling out a
