Help! About SAMBA_PDC and SRVTOOLS
I want to use NT4's SRVTOOLS to manage the Samba-PDC,But when i use it ,i mean ,when i add a account for windows,Samba can only receive the username from the tool. The others ,such as logon_path,Fullname and Description cannot be received by samba. Is some thing wrong with samba? what can i do ? I add the information of a user to the LDAP-server by LDIF-file handly .It works fine.And the

Upgrade to 3.0.2a from 2.2.8a: Was working, no longer works
...sure all the users were sychronised (or at least I think I did it right) but still, no access. Any help? I can post my smb.conf if necessary - was also wondering if I'm missing something else...? Looking for samba user statistics
This system is running for a while, using Redhat 7.2 and Samba 2.2.3. Question: Before I completely reinstall this system, I would like to get some samba statistics from this system. Can anybody point me in the right direction on how to do this. Thanks Ralf Wiegand

extreme performance requirements
We are trying to use Samba to serve as a file server to support an application requiring relatively low absolute bandwidth, but extremely low latency (think voice over IP). Samba + ACL backup solution
Hello all I am looking for a good backup solution for samba shares, I do not mean to start a jihad between rival backup religions, but I would appreciate any suggestions. I have tried star and love it, unfortunately there does not seem to be a gui or any frontend that can be used with it (it needs to be available to a couple of GUI-only (read as windows admin) people). Win98 Login Problem
** High Priority ** Hi I am trying to login to a Samba share via win98, When I try get access to a shared folder that is protected. It prompts me for a password. the problem is that the username is already typed in and I can not change it. On winxP, when I get prompted I can put in the username and password, and it works fine. Authentication problem?
LAN - mixed architecture - 2 x win98, 1 x winME, 1 x win2k, 3 x Mandrake Linux 10.0. Most samba activity is between the Mdk boxes, file-moving, etc. Versions - Mandrake 10.0, with all updates applied, Samba 3.0.6-4.1 I had a properly working lan, with occasional problems between box1 and box2 (Mdk boxes).
