wxRuby is a cross-platform rapid development GUI
building framework. I find it very intuitive and easy to use.

Adjusting for autocorrelation in a panel model
I am working with panel data. I am using the plm package to do this.
I would like to do be able to adjust for autocorrelation, as one does with
glm models and correlation structures (eg corr=corARMA(q=4)) . In
particular, I want to employ MA(4) error structure.
Is there a way of doing this with the plm package?
(Note: I do not really want to use the pggls function for various

wxRuby and other GUI toolkits
...ple "don''t" like about wxruby. Otherwise, how else do we improve?
Browsing online, I''ve found a few complaints:
Difficulty in getting it installed - Daniel Sheppard,
http://www.jroller.com/page/soxbox/
Use of ugly integer values for event handlers -
http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~naseby/31.html
It''s a good start (though I don''t know what platform Mr. Sheppard is
trying to install on), but any other discussion would be most helpful.
Thanks,

How does biplot.princomp scale its axes?
I'm attempting to modify how biplot draws its red vectors (among other
things). This is how I've started:
Biplot <- function(xx, comps = c(1, 2), cex = c(.6, .4))
{
## Purpose: Makes a biplot with princomp() object to not show arrows

Problem with package sem
Hi experts,
I just started to learn R today, and tried to work with an add-on
package sem. I have a version of 2.3.1 on MacOS X 10.4.6 with sem put
under /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.3/Resources/library
However when I typed
library(sem)
the following error showed up:
Error in library(sem) : 'sem' is not a valid package -- installed <

Why is this?

oggenc command not found
Dear Vorbis List,
I have just joined this List. Thankyou to all the developers who have
worked on this project it is wonderful.
I am running SuSE 7.3 and the cdaudio ogg ripping works very well. I am
now in the process of archiving my vinyl in ogg files. According to the
SuSE manual this is done using the oggenc command but I get no such
command to work. I have also tried ./oggenc.

SMBMount and backup application
I would like some advice. I am considering the best way to restructure my
backup scheme on my NT network. I would like to see if it would be
possible/feasible to use cron, smbmount, some SCSI tape drives, and some type
of archive tool to backup my NT shares to a RedHat box using Samba. What do
all of you do out there? I would envision a situation where each night a
script is run by cron that

How to iteratively extract elements out of a list

The following code produces a list, which is what I what:

Now I need something that would to extract iteratively (or as many
times as

Suspend/resume on IBM X31
...These issues together make it hard to debug further, but I did a few
tests in single-user mode. First, with no services running, "acpiconf
-s3" seems to work OK (although /etc/rc.suspend is still not executed)
- I can suspend and resume and the machine keeps working. See:
http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~sweetnavelorange/dmesg.1
for my dmesg after one successful cycle - there are a few warnings to
do with firewire. However if I start powerd before suspending, I get
the following extra kernel messages (hand transcribed):

Worms Armageddon: cant open Worms Armageddon folder on fake ../drive_c/Team17/Worms Armageddon
Hi, this is my first attempt at using Wine.
After installing wine I tried to install Worms Armageddon with
wine e:/Install/install.exe
at first I got a lot of....
fixme:ntdll:FILE_GetNtStatus Converting errno 38 to STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL
around 50 lines, then the installer appeared and I installed as on
windows except to c:/Team17 rather than program files. I then went
looking for the WA.exe file
