iGoogle-style Widgets with Script.aculo.us?
I''d like to create an iGoogle-style page with a library of draggable
layout widgets. Is such a thing using script.aculo.us already
available? (Would hate to re-invent it.) Also, has anyone had success
with nested draggables? For example, rearranging <div>s within an
already draggable <div>?

I am wanting to help spread the word of CentOS, but also help within the
existing CentOS community. One idea I had, which I discussed with Karan
briefly on Twitter a few weeks ago was building a number of iGoogle gadgets
for various RSS feeds on centos.org (EG planet.centos.org and the main
category forums) but I wish to appeal to the wider community for other
CentOS related RSS feeds we could look at gadgetising. I am not necessarily
meaning someone who has a few centos articles on their blog - but I am

Google Gadget built with prototype
...avascript classes built with prototypejs. The gadget is flexible in
its settings to allow any CSE or site restriction but with a few
customizations could be repurposed for a great marketing pitch. I
wrote up a blog with more details and divulged further into the ideas
of proprietary searching and iGoogle becoming a webtop.

iframe is reloading during each sortable drag/drop point
...t. This causes the ui to
shutter and become unusable.
I have narrowed the issue down the onEmptyHover where
dropon.insertBefore is called. Is there a way to stop the iframe from
reloading or is there a better way for Sortables to handle drag and
drop? This reloading of iframes does not occur on igoogle or netvibes
- it only occurs on the drop which is acceptable...does anyone know
how they are getting around the reloading during the drag?
Thanks in advance,
Brian

Customisable WebParts type interface in Rails?
Hello all,
I have been tasked with creating a web front end that is composed of
relatively independent block of functionality, much like ASP.NET''s web
parts or Google gadgets on the iGoogle page. The blocks should be easy
to re-arrange (either statically or dynamically) and it should be
simple to add new blocks. My question is whether there is a good
infrastructure in Rails to easily construct and support such a web
interface?
Thanks for any advice,
M.

Scraping a web page
I would like to be able to submit a list of URLs of various webpages and extract the "content" i.e. not the mark-up of those pages. I can find plenty of examples in the XML library of extracting links from pages but I cannot seem to find a way to extract the text. Any help would be greatly appreciated - I will not know the structure of the URLs I would submit in advance. Any

I''m trying to make a drag''n''drop portal using sortable element. I
would like to apply the "hoverclass" option only on the droppable zone
instead of the column border.
Any idea a about the solution?
Thanks for any help,
