correlating irregular time series
I have some time stamped events that are supposed to be unrelated. I have plotted them and that assumption does not appear to be valid. http://metrak.com/tmp/sevents.png is a plot showing three sets of events over time. For the purpose of this exercise, the Y value is irrelevant. The series are not sampled at the same time and are not equispaced (just events in a log file). The plot is

DNS error when join domain (Win 7 -> SAMBA 4)
I stood up a samba 4 (4.0.10) Active Directory domain controller on a Debian Wheezy server, configured in accordance with the SambaAD DC HOWTO <https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_AD_DC_HOWTO> . I'm trying to join a Windows 7 Enterprise Edition client to the domain. Windows responds with: Error while attempting to join the domain "MYDOMAIN": Fails when trying to resolve

Is there anyone who has successfully put together a "high-powered" mini-itx ZFS box that would be willing to post their system specs? I''m eyeballing the KI690-AM2... http://www.albatron.com.tw/english/product/mb/pro_detail.asp?rlink=Overview&no=239 ...but am having a difficult time locating it and a suitable case currently. Thanks for you reply. I have installed asciidoc with "pkg_add asciidoc" And it returns something: # asciidoc fgh asciidoc: FAILED: input file /root/nut/fgh missing # which asciidoc /usr/local/bin/asciidoc Maybe there is any way to skip building man pages. This is not the such main thing as a new devices support. I also could built the driver that I need # make riello_ser but I don't

Unexpected results using HTB qdisc
Hi All, I am using the script below to limit download rates and manage traffic for a certain IP address and testing the results using iperf. The rate that iperf reports is much higher than the rate I have configured for the HTB qdisc. It''s probably just some newbie trap that''s messing things up but I''m buggered if I can see it. The following script is run on the

remote server won't remove deleted files
Heres' what I did... login as root rsync -a *.c auk1::pub/ rm -f a*.c rsync -a *.c auk1::pub/ The a*.c files still exist on auk1, the remote server. I've tried some parameters like --delete, --ignore-errors. There's no help. The server is running as a daemon by root. rsync.conf: uid = root gid = root pid file = /var/run/rsyncd.pid read only = false Do I miss anything? What should

always copy the whole file?
Here's how it works in my 2 computers. First, on auk2 # rsync -a auk1::pub/linux.iso . It takes about 4 minutes. Everything is fine. However, after doing this on auk1, # echo "hello" >> /pub/linux.iso Then, on auk2 # rsync -a auk1::pub/linux.iso . The execution time of the first command is still 4 minutes. I think it's supposed to be much shorter than the first case?

Samba 3.0 AD usage problems
Dear all, I downloaded samba3.0-alpha21 and followed each step in "ADS-HOWTO.txt". But mapping a network directory from a Windows client failed (step 4: Test your server setup). (Succeeded in other steps.... Including step 5) Only local users in the samba server can access the share folder. (Please refer to the smb.conf listed below...) And "#kadmin -p administrator" fails
