Zoomable graphs with multiple plots
Hi folks,
I was wondering if anyone could confirm/deny whether there exists any
kind of package to facilitate zoomable graphs with multiple plots (eg,
plot(..) and then points(..)). I've tried zoom from IDPmisc, and
iplot from the iplot and iplot extreme packages, but as far I can
tell, neither can handle the task.
Does anyone know anything else that might work? Or generally know different?
Cheers,
Tim.

S4 classes in existing packages
R-devel,
I'm interested in looking at some examples of existing R packages that
rely heavily on S4 classes to get a feel for varying styles and
package organization techniques. Could you recommend any packages
that might serve as a good starting point?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Draw Polygon with a Circular Side
Hello Friends!!!
I would want draw a circular histogram, and I would like draw a polygon with
a circular side. This is easy if I use the functions polygon and arc, but I
want that the polygon with a circular side have background colour. The
polygon created with function polygon can have background colour, but the
surface created with function arc can?t have background colour.

Need your help with my R plot
Hi,
I am using R to plot the graph and the problem I am facing with my graph is that I have lots of points concentrated in one area and It is creating a visualization challenge.
Is there any commands in R I could use to solve this problem. Even if there is no command, do you know how I could tackle this problem...(I want to separate these points so I could see each of them...)
Any help is much

arrowhead styles
Hi all,
I've been using the arrows() function in plots a lot, but I'm not
happy with the appearance of the arrow heads. I understand that arrows
() doesn't offer more sophisticated arrowhead shapes like e.g. a
filled triangle, possibly with choice of angle at the point. Does
anyone know an easy way to achieve this?
thanks

unexpected behaviour of isSymmetric() (PR#14000)
Full_Name: Mike Danilov
Version: 2.9.0
OS: Fedora Core 9
Submission from: (NULL) (142.103.121.198)
When checking for the symmetry of a matrix, function isSymmetric.matrix() gets
confused by the discrepancy of colnames/rownames if its argument. See the code
snippet below. Perhaps it's a problem of the matrix product which copies
colnames of the first argument but not the rownames of the

Creating a list of empty lists
Well here is one more brain-teaser related to assigning stuff into a
list of list. What if I need to create a new list of empty lists? I have
actually got a solution to this problem:
l = list(list())
for ( i in sequence(length-1) )
{
l = list(unlist(l,recursive=FALSE), list())
}
But it is not very neat to do this in a loop. Are there any cuter ways
to do this?
